At a regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the
Town of Leesburg; iu Virginia held in the Council Chamber on Monday
September 9, 1940 at 8: P. M. , there were present; Lucas D. Phillips,
Mayor and R. F. Flippo , J. T. Hourthhane, J. L.0liverTi L. C . Rollins ,
J. D. Taylor and J . H. Turley, Councilmen.
Councilman Flippo acted as Recorder in the absence of
Recorder, Titus. II
The Auditor-Treasurer read- his statement for the month
of August 1940, and upon motion dLly made seconded and carried, said
statement was approved. . . .
The Auditor-Treasurer presented the current bills and
upon motion dulgomadeiseconded and carried, the following Resolution
was adopted ; . . _
BE• IT RESOLVED, by the' Council of the Town of Leesburg
in Virginia that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized
instructed and directed to pay the following bills;
