Medina Village Planning Comnission Leetirea-
Meeting called to order at 8:15 PM.
All members present.
Public hearing on the rezoning of Lots 2 and 3, Block 2 in haeal
was the first order of business.
James Adams appeared, giving his reasons for rezoning as follows;
He intender to '.wild a large garage for servicing; his milk
truck on the lot across Depot Street from Lots 2 and 3 on which
he plans to build a plit split level home. He stated that he did not
care to go into a residential area with his truck garage.
Gerald Dykhoff raise,1 the question of being able to locate his
driveway so it would not be necessary to back onto the street.
Mrs. Christensen stated that the adjacent property owners should
be contacted and statements from them obtained in zoning questions
of this kind. Lrs Christensen asked if the Industrial Committee
had any plans for this area. Robert Scott asked th following
question, What do the business men of Hamel want for this street
and do they want more business placds to locate on main street or
the property to go residential. Herb Gaspar stated that he did
not feel we should start to rezone these small parcels.
Motion by Ella Christensen that tl,e planning Commission recomend to the
VillaEe Council that the petition for rezoning be granted unless
the business men of Hamel have objections and that the business men
of Hamel be notified of the petition ro rezoning and their opinions
asked. Second by Gerald Dykhoff, Motion carried.
Motion by Ella Christensea that a copy of the %planning commision
minutes be sent to all the members of the council by the Frieday
following tee planning meetine. Second by Herb Gaspar, Motion
carried.
The Clarification of Zones RA-R1-R2 and RC was discussed at length.
Ella Christensen moved that tLe interpertation of the Planning Commission
regarding the Zoning Ordinance of Zones kA-R1-R2 and RC is that all the Ws
white area on the map ie reeee.ed for these zones and becomes zoned in
ono of the above catagor3es as permits are granted. Since prior use of
most of this area is agriculteral and residential the Plannine Commission
recommends teae tee orfinances be amended to tlee effect enat all white
area be Zoned RA aae aee must be rezoned for any other use.
Motion seconded by -::verb Gaspar, motion carried.
Motion by ijerbert Gaspar to recommead that the council aliquire the
Right of way for the extension of Raod Rumber F58, Socend by Ella
Christensen, otion
Motion by Gerald Dykhoff to adjourn, Second by ax Alex Schumacher,
Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 11:30 Pk.
