June 11 , 1941
At a regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the Town
of Leesburg, in Virginia held in the Council Chamber on Wednesday , June .
1m, 1941 , at 8 P. M. there were present ; Lucas D. Phillips, Mayor,
Louis T.Titus, Recorder and R. M. Flippo , J. T.Hourihane , E. L. Oliver ,
L. C. Rollins , J. D. Taylor and J. H. Turley, Councilmen.
The minutes of the last meeting held on May 5 , 1941 were read
and upon motion duly made , seconded and carried were approved as read.
On motion of Councilman Oliver , seconded by Councilman ,
Hourihane and unanimously carried , an Ordinance was passed regnarding
the regulating of the Public Toilets. A copy of this -Ordinance may
be found in the current Ordinance book.

The Auditor-Treasurer read his monthly statement for the
month of May 1941 and /resented the current bills and upon motion of
Councilman Flippo; seconded by Councilman nourihane and unanimously
. carried the following ,resolution was- adopted;- -
• BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the town of Leesburg , in
Virginia that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized
directed and instructed to pay the following bills ;

On motion of Councilman Flippo , seconded by- Councilman• Oliver and
unanimously carried the following resolution was adopted ;
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the town of Leesburg , in
Virginia that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to call for bids for the hauling of- slops and garbage
for the next ensuing year.
There being- no further business, on motion duly made , seconded
and carried, the Council- adjourned at 9 :17 P. M.
