At a aagalaa meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the Town
of Leesburg , in Virginia held in the Council Chamber . on Monday, October
6 , 1941 at 8 :P.M. , there were present; Lucas D. Phillips , Mayor , ;
Louis T .Titus , Recorder and C. W. Fiske , R. M. Flippo , J. T. Hourihane ,
J. L. .Oliver, L. C.Rollins and J . H. Gurley , Councilmen.
The minutes of the last meeting-were read and upon motion duly
. made , seconded and carried were approved as read .

The Auditor-Treasurer read his monthly statement for the month
of September 1941.

The Auditor9Treasurer read his Quarterly Statement for the
quarter ending September 30 ,- 1941 and upon motion of Councilman
Oliver , seconded by Councilman Fiske and unanimously carried the
following Resolution was adopted :
WHEREAS. the Auditor-Treaaurer has thee -day presented to
the Council of the Town of Leesburg , in Virginia , a quarterly
statement of allreceipts and an analysis of all disbursements _
for the months of July , August and September 1941 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the
Town of Leesburg, in Virginia that the said quarterly report of the
Auditor-Treasurer be and the same is hereby unanimously approved
and accepted by the said Coulcil.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , by the said Council that the
Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized and directed
to have a copy of the said quarterly report published once in
a newspaper published in said town and also post a copy of
said quarterly report in front of the courthouse in the said town.

Upon motion of Councilman Oliver , seconded by Councilman Fiske
• and unanimously carried the following Resolution was adopted;
'BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg,
in Virginia that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to pay the following bills ;

On motion of Councilman Fiske , seconded by; Councilman
Oliver and unanimously carried the Mayor was requested .to appoint a
committee to investigate the regulation of dogs running at large in
the Town. The Mayor appointed the following aommittee members ;
C. W. Fiske and L. . C. Rollins.
On motion of Councilman Oliver seconded by Councilman
Rollins and unanimously carried the following resolution was adopted ;
BE IT RESOLVED , by the Council of the Ttwn of Leesburg ,
in Virginia that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby
authorized and directed tp purchase 2 pair of .trousers for
Sgt. Gill foto the peptitentiary Industrial Dept .
On motion of Councilman Oliver ,, seconded by Councilman
- Turley and unanimously carried there was an Ordinance passed in.
regard to the Organization of the Leesburg Fire Company. A copy of
this Ordinance may be found in the current Ordinance Book.
On motion of Councilman Oliver , seconded by Councilman
Rollins and unanimously carried the following resolttion was adopted ;
BE IT RESOLVED , that the sum of Thirty Five Dollars N 35.00)
be and the same is hereby appropriated for the use. of the
delegation from the Town of Leesburg , in Virginia in attenting
the Convention of the League of Virginia Municipalities at
Virginia Beach Virginia on. October 12 to 14th 1941 .
