Harrison - 5.00 • Total S 81047 • • Upon motion of Councilman Fiske , seconded by Councilman Oliver / and carried there was an Ordinance passed rescinding an Ordinance regarding Drunkeness and Disorderly Conduct at page 13 of the Current Ordinance Book. A copy of this Ordinance may be found in the Current Ordinance • book. - / On motion of Councilman Oliver , seconded by Councilman urley and unanimously carried there was an Ordinance passed in regarding drunkeness a copy of which may be found in the current Ordinance Book. - On motion of Councilman Hourihane , seconded by Councilman Rollins and unanimously carried an Ordinance regarding Disorderly conduct was passed a copy of which may be found in the Current Ordinance Book. On motion of Councilman Hourihahe . seconded by Councilman Turley and unanumously carried there was an Ordinance passed V regarding the standing Committees of the Town Government. A copy of this Ordinahce may be found in the Current Ordinance Bock. Sgt. H. B. Gill gave a report on the course he had recently taken at the F. B. I . Schoml in Washington. Mr. J. B. Anderson of the Leesburg Fire Company appeared • before the Council and asked the Council , on Behalf of the Fire Company to take over the ladder truck and emergency car. After some discussion of the matter ' upon motion of Councilman Hourihane seconded by Councilman Turley and unanimously carried the• Council was appointed as a committee to be headed by the i'ayor to work With a committee from the Fire company to investigate the matter' of taking over the aforesaid fire company equipment. There being no further business , on motion duly made , seconded and carried , the meeting was adjourned at 9 P. M. • APPROVED: _ .7t7 . RECORDER !. MA R - DECEMBER 16 , 1941 SPECIAL At a special meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Leesburg , in Virginia held in the Council Chamber on Tuesday, December 16th•1941 at 7 :P.M. , there were present ; Lucas D. Phillips , Mayor and Louis Ti Titus , Recorder and C . • W.Fiske , R. M. Flippo , J . T. Hourihane , J . L. Oliver , L. C . Rollins , and J. H.Turley , Councilmen. The Mayor stated that the purpose of the meeting was ' to consider several Ordinances pertaining to Emergency in connection with National • Defense, and the appointment of the County Health Officer as Town Health Officer . There were three ( 3) Ordinanees passed in connection with National Defense , Explosive substances and Suspicious Characters. Copies of these Ordinances may be found in the Current Ordinance Book. Upon motion of Councilman , Hurley , seconded by Councilman Bourihane and -unanimously carried there was an Ordinance passed 3-03 rescinding an Ordinance of record in the Current Ordinance Book • appointemg the Town Sargeant as Health officer for the Town . A copy . of this Ordinance may be found in the current Ordinance Book. Upon motion of Councilman Fiske , seconded by Councilman Oliver and unanimously carried there was an Ordinance passed appointing the County Health 6fficer as Health officer for the Town of Leesburg , A copy of this Ordinanc may be found in the current Ordinance Book. There being no further business, on motion. duly made , seconded and carried , the 6oundil adjourned at 7 :35 P. M. .y �y APPROVED : _; ✓. ✓,� ' RECORDER PSA • JAIIUARY 2, 1942 • SPECIAL • At a Soecial meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Leesburg , in Virginia held in the Council Chamber on Friday , January 2 . 1942 at 7 :F. M. there were present ; Lucas D. Phillips , Mayor and Louis T. Titus , Recorder and C. W. Fiske , R. M. Flippo , J. L. Oliver , L. C. Rollins and J. H. Turley!, Councilmen. The Mayor stated that the purpose of the meeting was to consider a resolution regarding the purchase of a Lot belonging to the Heirs of the Late Ward Loveless and to take up such other matters as might come before the Council. The Recorder read the Resolution and upon motion of Councilman Flippo , seconded by Councilman Fiske and unanimously carried the said Resolution was laid on the table until Monday January 5 , 1942 , at 7 : P. M. when - there would_be a Special meeting for further consideration of sale Resolution. • There being no further business , on motion duly made , seconded and carried , theCouncil adjourned at ? :35 .P. The minutes of the last regular meeting held December 8th 1941 and those o ' a special meeting held on January 3 , 1942 were read and upon motion duly made , seconded and carried :mere approved as read. ' The Auditor-Treasurer read his monthly statement for the month. of December 1941 and his Quarterly statement for the quarter ending December 31 , 1941. •
