FEBRUARY 9 ,. 1942
At a regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the
Town of Leesburg „ in Virginia , held in the Council Chamber on Monday
February 9 , 1942 at 7 :30 P. M. there were present ; Lucad D. Phillips ,
Mayor ; Louis T. Titus , Recorder and R. M. Flippo , J . T . Hourihane,
J . L., Oliver , L. C. Rollins and J. H. Turley , Councilmen.
The minutes of a special meeting held on January 5th 1942 ,
and those of the last regular meeting held on January 9 , 1942 were
read and. upon motion duly made , seconded and carried , were approved
as read. .
The Auditor-Treasurer read ,his monthly report for the month
of January 1942 .
The Auditor-Treasurer presented .the current hills and
upon motion of Councilman Oliver , seconded by Councilman Hourihane
and unanimously carried the .following Resolution was adopted ;
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg,
in Virginia that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby
authorized and dthrected to pay the follcwing bills ;

Mayor ' s office and Fire House - - - - $ 8.90

A contract between the Town of Leesburg and O. .K. Wilson , Jr .
for the painting of the twwn water tank was presented and upon
IImotion of Councilman Oliver , seconded by Councilman Hourihane and
unanimously carried the following Resolution was adopted ;
r . WHEREAS , the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia has entered into
a contrast with 0. K. Wilson , Jr. dated January 26 , 1942 . to
paint the town water tank for the sum of $225.00;
NOW -THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the
To•vn of Leesburg , in Virginia that the aforesaid contract
between the Town of Leesburg.,: in Virginia and 0. K. Wilson , Jr.
be and the same is hereby approved ; and •

BE 'IT FURTHER RESOLVED , by the said Council of the Tomo
of Leesburg in Virginia that Roscoe B. Ehoad:s , Auditor-Treasurer
be and he is hereby authorized to to draw the necessary check or
checks payable to O. .K. Wilson , Jr. in payment of the said sum

of $225.00 pursuant to the aforesaid contract dated January
26 , 1942.
Upon motion of Councilman Oliver , seconded. by Councilman
Turley and unanimously carried the following Resolution was. adopted ;

BE IT RESOLVED , by the Council of the Town of Leesburg ,
in Virginia that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby
• authorized and instructed to purchase 500 Ft. of Monitor • I Multiple Enreks Fire Hose size 21 inch. @ $1.15 per' foot. and
200 feet of Eureka Multiple Fire Hose size 12 inch. @ U .80
per foot.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the said Council of the Town
of Leesburg in Virginia that the Auditor-Treasurer is hereby
authorized to draw a check in,tpayment of the said fire hose
when same is delivered.
There being no further busimess , on motion duly made , •
seconded and carried the Council adjourned at 8 :08 P. 1.4.

March 9 , 1942 there were present ; Lucas D. Phillips , ?iayor ; Louis
T. Titus , Recorder and J . T .Hourihane , J . D. Oliver , L. C . Rollins
Councilmen.
The Minutes of the last meeting were read and upon motion
duly made , seconded and carried , were approved as read .
The Auditor-Treasurer read his monthly report for the
Month of Feoruary 1942.

TLe Auditor-Treasurer presented the current bills and
upon motion • of Ci_uncilman Hourihane , seconded by Councilman Oliver
and unanimously ca2ried the following Resolution was adopted ;

in Virginia that the Auditor=Treasurer be and he is hereby
authorized and dieected to pay the following bills;
