Upon motion of Councilman Oliver , seconded. by Councilman
Turley and unanimously carried the following Resolution was. adopted ;
•
BE -IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg , •
in Virginia that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby
• authorized and instructed to purchase 500 Ft. of Monitor •
Multiple Enreks Fire Hose size 2* inch. r $1.15 per foot. and
200 feet of Eureka Multiple Fire Hose size 1* inch. @ p .80
per foot.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the said Council of the Town
of Leesburg in Virginia that the Auditor-Treasurer is hereby •
authorized to draw a check inipayment of the said fire hose
when same is delivered.
- There being no further business , on motion duly made ,
seconded and carried the Council adjourned at 8 :08 F. M.

At a regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the
Town of Lee§burg , in Virginia , held in the Mayor' s Office on Monday
March 9 , 1942 there were present ; Lucas D. Phillips , Mayor ; Louis
T. Titus , Recorder and J . T .Eourihane , - 0. Oliver , L. C . Rollins
Councilmen.
The Minutes of the last meeting were read and upon motion
duly made , seconded and carried , were approved as read .

The Auditor-Treasurer read his monthly report for the
Month of February 1942.
The Auditor-Treasurer presented the current bills and
upon motion ' of Ciuncilman Hourihane , seconded by Councilman Oliver
and unanimously carried the following Resolution was adopted ;
BE I^ RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg ,
in Virginia that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby
authorized and diieet.ed to pay the following bills;

Bids were opened for the installation of a toilet in the town hall
on the second floor for the use of the emergency offices located
on that floor, as follows ;

• Upon motion of Councilman Hourihane , seconded by Councilman
Rollins and unanimously carried the following Eesolution was adopted ;
BE 'IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg,
in Virginia that the bid of H. P. Coleman of $113.00 for the
installation of a sink and closet on the seconde floor of the
town hall , be accepted and the contract for the work awarded
to the said H. F. Coleman .
There being no further business , on motion duly made ,
seconded and carried , the council adjourned .

At a regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the
town of Leesburg, in Virginia held in the Council Chamber on Monday
April 13 , 1942 at 8 P. M. there were present ; Lucas D. Phillips ,
Mayor ; Louis T. Titus , Recorder and D. W. Fiske , E. M. Flippo ,
4. T. Hourihane , •J . L. Oliver , L. C. Yollins and J. F."'urley ,
councilmen .
The minutes of the last regular meeting held on March 9 , 1942
were read and upon motion duly made , secobded and carried were
approved as read :
On motion of Councilman Turley , seconded by Councilman Flippp
and unanimously carried the following Resolution was adopted;
WHEREAS , the Circuit Court of Loudoun County , Virginia
has dismissed the suit of the "Town of Leesburg , in Virginia ,
Ia body corporate , vs. the Loudoun County School Board , a body
corporate and Loudoun County , Virginia , a body corporate" ; and
WHEREAS , the Council believes that the said suit should
be appealed to the Supreme Court of Appeals of Virginia for
the purpose of having the issues in said suit ruled on by the
said court of Appeals :
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the town of Leesburg , in
Virginia , that Stilson E. Hall , Town Attorney, be and he is ,
hereby authorized and directed to do what ever is necessary to
appeal the said suit to the Supreme Court of Appeals of Virginda
and prosecute same in said court ;• and the Auditor-Treasurer,
is authorized and directed to draw such checks as may be
necessary tp pay the expenses incidental to the prosecution of
