Gill , Night Watchman Atwell and Substttute Policeman Hardy, Two pairs for eachn/ • On motion duly made , seconded and carried the matter of grading the new parking lot was refferred to a committee to have said grading done at the descretion of said committee. July 101 1942 at 7 P. M. there were present ; Lucas D. Phillips , Mayor; , Louis T. Titus , Recorder and C. W. Fiske , E. M. Flippo , . J. T. Bourihane-, J. L. Oliver., L. .C. Rollins and J. H. Turley , Councilmen. The minutes of the last meeting were read and upon motion duly made , seconded- and carried. were approved as read. The Auditor-Treasurer. read his monthly, quarterly and annual, statements for the respective periods ending June 30 , 1942 . 316 On motion of Councilman Fiske , seconded by Councilman Flippo mid unanimously carried the following Resolution was adopted; • WHEREAS , the Auditor-Treasurer has this day presented to the Council of the Town of Leesburg , in Virginia , a quarterly statement of all receipts and an analysis of all disbursements for the months of April , May and June , 1942 , • NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leebburg , in Virginia , that the said quarterly repott of the Auditor-Treasurer be and hte same is hereby unanimously approved •and accepted bythe said Council. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the said Council that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized and directed to have a copy of the said quarterly report published once in a newspsper published in said town and also post a copy of said report in front of the Court House in the said Town. • On motion duly made ; seconded and carried the following resolution was adopted ; • • • BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg , in Virginia , that the State Auditing Department be , and it is hereby requested to audit the records if the Auditor-Treasurer of the town concerning the town' s fin4noes for one year, from July 1 , 1941 to July 1 , 1942 ; and the town will pay the Common- wealth of Virginia for making said audit ; and Louis T."itus. On motion of Councilman Hourihane , seconded by Councilman Oliver and- unanimously carried the following Resolution was adopted; - BE IT- RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg, • in Virginia that the regular meeting of the Town Council scheduled to be held on Monday July 13th , 1942 be dispensed with. ' II - August 10 , 1942 • At a regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the town of Leesburgin , Virginia held in the Council Chamber on Monday , August 10 , 1942 at 8 P. M. there were present ; Lucas D. Phillips , Mayor , ; Louis T. Titus'; Recorder and , C. W. Fiske , E. M. Flippo , J. L. Oliver , J. T. Hourihane , L. C . Rollins ans J. H.Turley , Councilmen. The Minutes of the last meeting were read and upon motion duly made , seconded and carried were approved as read . Dr. Clifford Waller , Town Health Officer appeared and recomended that the Council adopt the standard food Ordinance. After some discussion of the matter of the standard food Ordinance it was argeed that the matter be taken up after further study at a meeting in the near future.
