November 9 , 1942
At a regular /yeeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the
Toan of Leesburg , in Virginia held in the Council Chamber on Monday
November 9 , 1942 at 7 :30 P. M. there were present ; E. N1 Bradfield ,
Mayor ; Louis T. TTitus , . Recorder add C. W. Fiske , R.M.Flippo , J. L.
Oliver , L. C. Rollins and J . H. Turley , Councilmen;
The Minutes of the last meeting were read and upon motion
duly made , seconded and carried were approved as read.
The Auditor-Treasurer read his monthly report &or the
month of October 1942 and presented the current bills and upon motion
of Councilman Hourihane , seconded by Councilman -Fiske and unanimously
carried the following Resolution was adopted ;
BE IT RESOLVED , by the Council of the Town of Leesburk,
in Virginia , that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to psy the following bills ;

On motion of Councilman Fiske , seconded. by Councilman
• Turley and unanimously carried the following Resolution was adopted ;
BE IT F.ESOLVlD, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg ,
in Virginia that the following salaries be increased as of
November let 1942 ; as follows ;
Roscoe B. Rhoads , Auditor-Treasurer , x;10.00 per month.
Howard B. Gill , Town Sergeant , $ 5.00 per month.
Robert B. Atwell , Night Officer , $10.00 per month.
R. L. Hough , Pump operator , $10.00 per -month.
BE IT FUHTEEh RESOLVED, by the said Council that it is 11
hereby recommended that the Labor Commmttee increase the wages
of the following employees of the Town , 51.00 per week;
J. Austin Wright , George H. Hardy , Roland C. Keys and T .H. Athey. .
There being no further business , on motion duly made ,
seconded and carried , the Council adjourned at 8 :28 P. M.
