February 8 , 1943
At a regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the
Town of Leesburg , in Virginia held in the. Council Chamber on Monday ,
February 8 , 1943 at 7 :30 P. M. there were present; E. N. Bradfield ,
Mayor ; Louis T. Titus , Recorder and C. W. Fiske , J. T. Hourihane ,
J. L. Oliver , L. C. Rollins and J. H. Turley, Councilmen.

The-minutes of the last meeting were read and upon motion
duly made , seconded and carried , were approved as read .
•
The Auditor-Treasurer read his monthly statement for the
month of January 1943 and presented the current. bills and upon
motion of Councilman- Turley, seconded by •Councilman Hourihane and
unanimously carried the following Resolution was adopted ;
BE IT RESOLVED, vy the Council of the Town of Leesburg ,
in Virginia that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby
authorizedand instructed to pay the following bills ;

Mayor 's Office and Fire House - 8 8.80

On motion of' Councilman Fiske , seconded by Councilman
M k Turley and unanimously carried there was an Ordinance passed
rescinding and Ordinance which was passed on the 10th day of
August 1942 in regard to awnings.
On motion of Councilman Hourihane , seconded by Councilman
9 Rollins and unanimously carried there was an Ordinance passed
y1 concerning the maintenance of awnings over the sidewalks of the
town. •
Copies of these Ordinances may be found in the current
Ordinance book.
~--� On motion of- Councilman Fiske , seconded by Councilman
Oliver and unanimously carried the foll Resolution was adopted ; ,
BE IT RESOLVED , by the Council of the Toni of Leesburg ,
in Virginia that the Recorder be and he is hereby directed
to have the Ordinance , regarding the maintenance" of awnings
over sidewalks , published in each of the newspapers published
in the Town of Leesburg .
There being no further business ,. on motion duly made ,
seconded and carried , the Council adjourned at 8 :13 P. M.
