March 8, 1943 :
At a regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the
Town of Leesburg , in Virginia held in the Council -Chamber on Monday
March 8 , 1943 at 7 :30 P. M. there were present ; E. N. Bradfield ,
Mayor ; Louis •T. Titus , Recorder and -C. W. -Fiske , R. M. Flippo , J. T.
Hourihane , J. L: Oliver , L. C. Rollins and J. H.Turley, Councilmen.

he Minutes of. the last meeting were •read and upon motion
duly made , seconded and carried were approved as read.
The Auditor Treasurer read- his monthly 'atatement for -the
month of- February 1943:
The Auditor-Treasurer presented the current bills and
upon motion of Councilman Turley seconded by Councilman Hourihane
and unanimously carried -the following ' Resolution was adopted ; -
BE IT RESOLVED , by the Council of the Town of Leesburg ,
in Virginia that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby
Authorized and instructed tp pay the following bills ;
Virginia Public Service Company
Mayor' s Office and Fire House- $ 7.60

On motion of Councilman Turley , seconded by Councilman
Hourihane 'andunanimously carried the following Resolution was
adopted ;
BE IT RESOLVED, by the -Council of the Council of the
Town of Leesburg , in Virginia that the Fire Committee be
and it is hereby authorized and empowered -to purchase a new
ladder for the Fire Company , which was recently broken , by
accident , in line of duty by the Tom street force, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , that the said Fire Committee be
abdoit is hereby also authorized and empowered to have the
said broken ladder repaired .

On motion of Councilman Fiske , seconded by Councilman
Oliver and unanimously carried the following Resolution was
adopted;
BE IT RESOLVED , by the Council 6f the Town if Leesburg ,
in Virginia that the Fire Committee be and it is hereby
authorized and directed to have the No. 1 Fire Truck, repaired

and put in good conditio4 , and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , that the'said Fire Committee
is hereby authorized and directed to have the^said repair
work on the No. 1 Fire Truck done -by a representative of .
the' Seagrave - Corporation.

There being no further business , on motion duly made ,
Seconded and carried , the Oouncil 'adj'ourned at' 8 :15 P.M.

At a regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of
the Town of Leesburg , in Virginiaheld in the Council Chamber
on Monday, April 12 , 1943 at 8 :P. M. there were present;

Fiske , R. M.Flippo , J. L. Oliver and L. C. Rollins , Councilmen,
The minutes of the last meeting were read and upon motion
duly made , seconded and carried were approved as read.
The Auditor-Treasurer read his monthly report for, the
month of March and his quarterly report for the quarter
ending Marsh 31 , 1943.
On motion of Councilman Fiske , seconded by Councilftan
Flippo and unanimously carried the following Resolution was
adopted ;
WHEREAS , the Auditor-Treasurer has this day presented to
the Council of the Town of Leesburg , in Virginia , a quarter-
ly statement of all receipts and an analysis of all disburse-
ments for the months of January , February and March 1943;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED , by. the Council of, the
Town of Leesburg , in Virginia that the said quarterly report
of the Auditor-Treasurer be and it is hereby approved and -
accepted by the said Council.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the said Council that the '
Atditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized and directed
to have a copy of the said quarterly report published once in
a newspaper published JO said Town and also post a copy of the
said report in front of the courthouse in the said Town..
The Auditor-Treasurer presented the current' bills and
upon motion of Councilman Oliver, seconded by Councilman Fiske
and unanimously carried the following Eesolution was adopted ;
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg ; '
in Virginia that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby -
authorized and directedto pay the following bills ; •
