At a regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of
the Town of Leesburg , in Virginiaheld in the Council Chamber
on Monday, April 12 , 1943 at 8 :P. M. there were present;
E. N. Bradfield , Mayor; Louis T. Titus , Recorder and C. W. , •
Fiske , R. M.Flippo , J . L. Oliver and L. C. Rollins , Councilmen,
The minutes of the last meeting were read and upon motion
duly made , seconded and carried were approved as read.
The Auditor-Treasurer read his monthly report for, the
month of March and his quarterly report for the quarter
ending Marzh 31 , 1943.
On motion of Councilman Fiske , seconded by Councilkan
• Flippo and unanimously carried the following Resolution was
adopted ;
WHEREAS , the Auditor-Treasurer has this day presented to
the Council of the Town of Leesburg , in Virginia , a quarter-
ly statement of all receipts and an analysis of all disburse-
ments for the months of January , February- and March 1943 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED , by the Council of, the
Town of Leesburg, in Virginia that the said quarterly report
of the Auditor-Treasurer be and it is hereby approved and
accepted by the said Council.
BE IT FURTHFR RESOLVED , by the said Council that the •
Amditor-Treasurer- be and he is hereby authorized and directed
to have a copy of the said quarterly report published once in
a newspaper published ifl said Town and also post a copy of the
said report in front of the courthouse in the said Town.
The Auditor-Treasurer presented the current' bills and
upon motion of Councilman Oliver, seconded by Councilman Fiske
and unanimously carried the following Eeeolution was adopted ;
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg ;
in Virginia that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby •
authorized and directedto pay the following bills.;

The Finance committee presented the proposed budget for
the fiseal year beginning Muny 1 , 1943 and ending June 30, 1944
and upon motion of Councilman Rollins , seconded by Councilman
,Fiske and unanimously carried the following Resolution was
adopted,
WHEREAS , the Auditor-Treasurer has this day presented
to the Council a budget showing annual receipts and dis-
bursements for the year 1942 and estimated receipts and
disbursements for ' the fiscal year beginning July 1 , 1943 -
and ending June 30, 1944 :
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the
Town of Leesburg , in Virginia that the Auditor-Treasurer be
and he is hereby instructed and authorized to have the afore-
said budget published 'once in a newspaper published - in the •
IIsaid town.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the said Council of the Town
of Leesburg , in Virgiria that there will be a meeting of the
said Council in the Council Chamber of the Town Hall Building
in the Tonn of Leesburg , Virginia at 8 :P. M. on Friday April ,
30 , 1943 for the purpose of giving any citizen of the Town the
right toyappear before the Council and state his views on the
aforesaid proposed budget.
BE IT' FURTHER RESOLVED, that due notice be published
once in a newspaper published in the Town of• Leesburg , of
said meeting . - .

On motion of Councilman Fiske , seconded by Councilman
Oliver and' unanimously 'carr#ed "there was an Ordinance Ay,
passed rescinding section 45 on page 28 of the Current s7
Ordinance -Book and reordaining said section to include
optomertrists and opticians'. A copy of this Ordinance may
me found in the cu3rent ordinance book.
There being no further business, on motion duly made ,
seconded and carried , the Council adjourned at 8 :30' P.' M.
