BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the said Council that the material for
said wall to be constructed in front of the Wildman property shall
be paid for by the Town of Leesburg and that the Auditor-Treasurer
is. hereby authorized to draw the necessary check or checks to pay
for same. The Auditor-Treasurer in like manner is •hereby authorized
to pay for the labor on said project.
There being no. further -business , on motion duly, made ,
seconded and carried the Council adjourned at 8 :45 P. M.

At a regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of
the Town of Leesburg , in Virginia held in the Council Chamber
-on Monday , June 14, 1943 at 8 : P. .M. there werepesent; E. N.
Bradfueld,Mayor; Louis T. Titus , Recorder and C. W. Fiske, R.
M. Flippo , J. L. Oliver , L. C. Rollins and J•. H. Tyrley,Council-
men.

The minutes of a special meeting held on April 30, 1943
and those of the last regular meeting held on May 5, 1943 were
read and- upon motion duly made , seconded and- carried -were approved
as read.
The Auditor-Treasurer presented the current bills and upon •
motion of Councilman Fiske , seconded by Councilman Oliver and
unanimously carriedtthe following Resolution was adopted;
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the `1 own of Leesburg , in
Virginia that the Auditor;-Treasurer be and he is hereby author-
ized and directed to pay the following tills ;

On motion of Councilman/seconded by Councilman Fiske
and Unanimously carried the following Resolution was adopted;
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg ,
• in Virgtnia ,that the State Auditing Department be, and it is
hereby requested to audit the records of the Auditor-Treasur-
er of the town 'concerning the Town' s finances for one year ,
from July 1 , 1942 through June 30, 1943 , and that the said
Town will pay the Commonwealth of Virginia for making said
audit; and Louis T. Titus , Recorder , is authorized and request-
ed to execute a certified copy of this Resolution to be mailed
to the Auditing Depattment of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
On motion of Councilman Turley, seconded by Councilman
Oliver and unanmoulsy carried the following Resolution was -
adopted ; •
WHEREAS , Edwards and Son, merchants of Leesburg , Virginia
have been billed for $25.00 beer license 'for the year begin-
ning July 1, 1943 ; and
WHEREAS, the said Edwards and Son have paid the 'said •
$25.00 beer license ; and •
WHEREAS, the said Edwards and Son have advised .the Audit-
or-Treasurer tLatheiryintention• to discontinue the sale of beer
- before July -1, 1943; •
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the
Town of Leesburg , in Virginia that the $25.00. beer license Q:
which has. been paid by Edwards and Son of Leesburg , Va. be
refunded , and the Auditor-Treasurer is hereby authorized and
directed to draw a check gor $25.00 payable to Edwards & Son
in payment thereof. .
On motion of Councilman Oliver seconded by Councilman
Fiske and unanimously carried the following Resolution was .

- BE IT RESOLVED, by theCouncilof the Town of Leesburg , :
in Virginia that- the Auditor-Treasurer be- and he is hereby
authorized and directed to make applicatiof to the Local
Ration Board for two (2) tires• and two (2) tubes for the
Town' s small truck and two ( 2 ) tires and Two (2 ) tubes for
the large truck, and upon receipt of the appteval of the said
application the Auditor-Treasurer is authorized to purchase
the said tires and tubes.
On motion of Councilman Turley seconded by Councilman
Oliver and unanimously carrfed-the following-Resolution was
anopted ; •
WHEREAS, H. C. T. Ewing , C. P. Conrad and J. D. Taylor
Judges of the Town Election held on June 8 , 1943, have• certified
that E. N. Bradfield received 181 votes for Mayor ; Louis T.
. - Titus received 174 votes for Recorder; C. W. Fiske received
186 votes for Councilman; J. T. Hourihane received 134 votes
for Councilman; J. L. McIntosh received 177 votes for Council-
man ;
J. L. Oliver received 146 votes for Councilman ; T . Russell
Potts received 92 votes for Councilman; L. C. Rollins received
141 votes for Councilman ; J. H. Turley received 137 votes for
Councilman ; and George E. Ward received 121 votes for. Councilman.
and :
WHEREAS , it appears from the report of the said Judges of
Election that all of the Candidates , except T. Russell Potts and
George E. Ward were elected to the respective offices for which
they were candidates :

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
Town of Ldesburg , in Virginia,that the following persons be
and they are hereby declared to have been duly elected for the
term beginning September 1 , 1943, and ending August 31 , 1945;
E. N. Bradfield ,. Mayor; Louis T. Titus , recorder ; and C. W.
Fiske, J. T. Hourihane , J. L. .Mclntosh , J. L. Oliver, L. C.
Rollins and J. H. Turley, Councilmen.

At a regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the
Town of Leesburg held in the Council Chamber on Monday July 12,
1943, there were present; C. W. Fiske , R. M. Flippo , J. L.
Oliver , J T. Haar 110ne and L. C. Rollins and J. H. Turley
Councilmen.
- The minutes o;: the last regular meeting were wread and
upon motion duly made , .seconded and carried were approved as
read.
The Auditor-Treasurer read his Monthly report for the
Il • month of June , 1943 , his Quarterly report • for the quarter
ending June 30, 1943 and his annual statement for the fiscal
. year ending June 30, 1943, and upon motion of Councilman
Oliver , seconded by Councilman Fiske and unanimously carried
the following resolution wad- adopted ;

WHEREAS, the Auditor-Treasurer has this day presented to
the Council of the 'gown 6f Leesburg , in Virginia a querterly
statement of all rece pts and an analysis of all disbursements
for the •Months of tpril , May and June , 1943;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the
Town of Leesburg, in Virginia that the said quarterly report
• of the Auditor-Treasurer be and it is hereby approved and
accepted by the said Council .
BE - IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the said Council that the
Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized and directed
to have a -copy of the said quarterly -report published once in
a newspaper published in said Town and also post a copy of the
•
said report in front of -the court house in the said Town.
The Apditor-Treasurer presented the current bills and
upon motion of Councilman Oliver seconded by Councilman Fiske
and unanimoutly carried the following Resolution was adopted;
