Titus , Recorder , and the Town Council for the Town of Leesburg , in Virginia , wish to state that there is no obligation pending or threatened against these bonds. A report of the Auditing Department of the Commonwealth of Virginia of an audit recently made of the- financial con- dition of the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia , is on file in the office of the Auditor-Treasurer of the said town, and is open to public inspection. There being no further business , on mb4ion duly made , sec- onded and carried , the Council adjourned at 8 : 13 P. M. • APPROVED : f ./ g, P �FECORDER iiAYORT • October 11 , 1943 'Regular At a regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Leesburg , in Virginia held in the Council ,Chamber on Monday October 11 , 1943 .at 7 :30 P. M. there were present ; F. N. Bradfield ; Mayor; Louis T. Titus , Recorder; C. W. Fiske , John T. • Hourihane , J . L. McIntosh, J. L. Oliver , L. C. Rollins and J. H. Turley, Councilmen; On motion of Councilman Turley; seconded by Councilman Oliver and unanimously carried the minutes of the last regular meeting and the minutes of the Special meeting held• on September 20 , 1943 were read and approved. The Auditor-Treasurer read his monthlyreport for the Month of September 1943 and his Quarterly statement for the quarter ending September 30, 1943 and upon motion of Councilman Fiske , seconded by Councilman Oliver and unanimously carried the following Resolution was adopted ; WHEREAS , the Auditor-Treasurer has this day presented to the Council of the Town of Leesburg , in Virginia a quarterly statement 6f all receipts and an ananysis of all disbursements • for the months of July . August and September 1943; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg , in Virnia , that the said quatterly report of the Auditor-Treasurer be and it is hereby approved and accppted by the said Council. • BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , by the said Council that the • Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized and directed to have a copy of the said quarterly report published once in a newspaper published in said Town and also post a copy of the said report in front of the Court House in the said town. Fiske and unanimously carried the following Resolution was adopted ; BE IT RESOLVED , by the Council of the Town of Leesburg , iniVirginia .that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized and directed to purchase two ( 2 ) pair of winter trousers for Sgt. Gill. • On motion of Councilman.,Oliver, seconded by Councilman Turley and unanimously carried the following Resolution was adopted ; BE IT RESOLVED? by the Council of the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia that the Columbian Bank Note Company be employed to print the new issune of $73 ,000.00 Town of Leesburg . General Obligation Refunding Bonds. ata cost of $67.50 . • .The Mayor , Councilman Fiske and Auditor-Treasurer Rhoads each made a report on the Convention of the League of Virginia ., Municipalities which they recently attended at Roanoke , Va. There being no further business , on motion duly made , •seconded and carried the Council adjourned at 9 :27 P. M. there were present; B. N. Bradfield , Mayor; Louis T. Titus , Recorder ; C. W. Fiske , J . L. McIntosh, J. T. Eourihane , J. L. Oliver, 'L. C. Rollins , and J. H. Turley, 'Councilmen. __ ' ' The Mayor stated that the purpose of the meeting was to open bids on Town of Leesburg , Virginia General Obligation Refunding Bonds , pursuant to a resolution adopted by the Council on September 20 , 1943. .• The May.ordasked the aseembleage if ell_bias were in. There was no reply. The Recorder opened and read the bide.. Upon motion of Councilman Oliver, seconded by Councilman Fiske and unanimously carried the Council went into executive session and those present other than the' Councilmen, Mayor and Recorder were asked to retire from the Council Chamber . After some discussion as to the best bid etc. on motion of Councilman Oliver seconded by Councilman Turley and unanimously carried the meeting was declared open and the bidders and visitors were, invited to reenter the Council Chamber.
