There being no further business , on motion duly made , seconded and carried , the Council adjourned at 8 :09 F. M. Gill the sum of $100.00 representing additional compensation for extra police duty during the period from December 1, 1943 through February 18, 1944. The Recorder advised the Council that he expected to be called to the Armed Forces before the next Regular meeting of the Council and stated that he was advising the Council of this fact in order that the Council might consider a successor to his office . Councilman Fiske led a general discussion of "Post War Planning" in which several members of the Council Participated. Mayor Bradfield appointed Councilman Fiske Recorder Pro-Tem. • The minutes of the last regular meeting were read, and upon . motion duly made, seconded and carried, were approved as read. The Auditor-Treasurer read his monthly statement for the month of March., 1944, and his Quarterly statement for the quarter ending
