At a regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the
• Town of Leesburg, in Virginia, held in the Council Chamber on Mon-
day, April 9, 1945 at 8:00 P.M. , there were present: E.N.Bradfield,
Mayor, George E. Ward, Recorder, C .W .Fiske, John T . Hourihane, James
L. McIntosh, Jospeh L. Oliver and J.H.Turley, Councilmen.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and upon motion of
Councilman C.W.Fiske , seconded by Councilman John T . Hourihane, they
were unanimously approved as read.
The Auditor-Treasurer read his Monthly report fortthe month
of Marrhj 1945 and his Quarterly report for the quarter ending March
31, 1945, and upon motion of Councilman John T. Hourihane, seconded
by .Councilman C .W.Fiske and unanimously carried the following reso-
lution was adopted:
WHEREAS, the Auditor-Treasurer has this day presented to the
Council of the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia, a quarterly statement of
all receipts and an analysis of all disbursements for the months of
January, February and March, 1945;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the .said Council that the
Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized and directed to have
a copy of the said quarterly report published once in a newspaper in
said town and also post a copy of the said report in front of the Court
House in the said town.
' The Auditor-Treasurer presented the current bills and upon
motion of Councilman Joseph L. Oliver, seconded by Councilman C .W.
Fiske and unanimously carried the following resolution was adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg, in
Virginia,, that the Auditor-Treasurer be, And he is hereby authorized
and directed to pay the following bills:

The matter of installing new fluorescent lighting fixtures in
the Council chamber was discussed at some length and the lights com-
mittee was instructed to get prices on same and report back to council.
The removal of the fire escape on the King street side of the
Town Hall bmilding was left in the hands of the Mayor for further cos_
sideration.
On motion of Councilman J .H.Turley , seconded' by Councilman Jas .
L.Mcintosh and unanimously carried the' following resola&tion was adopter;
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg, in Vir-
Oinia, that said council hereby expresses to Mayor E.N.Bradfield for
his gift of a frame containing four denominations of "Dog Money" is-
sued by the Town of Leesburg in 1861. •

There being no further business, on motion duly made, sec-
onded andncarried, council adjourned at 8:45 P.M.

At a regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council 'Of the
Town of Leesburg in Virginia, held in the Council chamber of Monday,
May 14, 1945 at d:00 o 'clock P.M. , there were present: E.N.Bradfield,
Mayor, Ueorge E. Ward, Recorder,C .W.Fiske, John T. Hourihane, Joseph
L. Oliver, J. H. Turley and James L. McIntosh, Councilmen.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and upon motion of
Councilman J.H.Turley, seconded by Councilman C.W.Fiske, they were
unanimously approved as read.

The Auditor-Treasurer presented a list of uncollectable
licenses, and upon motion of Councilman Turley, seconded by Council-
man Fiske and• unanimously carried the following resolution was ,
. adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg, in
Virginia, that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized II
and instructed to charge off the following Licenses:

upon motion of Councilman C .W.Fiske , seconded by Councilman J.H.
Turley , and unanimously carried', the following resolution was adopted:
