REQUESTING AN AMENDMENT TO THE BOROUGH
OF CARTERET'S ROUND 2 DEMOLITION BOND
LOAN PROGRAM CONTRACT WITH THE NEW JERSEY
DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret was previously awarded
$500,000.00 pursuant to the New Jersey Demolition Bond Loan Program, Round
2; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has $270,000.00 remaining from said amount
and wishes to amend the program contract to allow for the demolition of eleven
(11) structures which it believes meet the criteria for demolition funding; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has received completed certification forms
from Anthony Neibert, the Construction Code Official for the Borough of
Carteret, evidencing that the above-referenced structures satisfy the eligibility
criteria; and
WHEREAS, the Borough further wishes to be granted an extension of the
contract completion date to allow for the demolition of said structures.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of
the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey as follows:
1. That the Borough hereby requests that the Department of
Community Affairs grant a contract anmndment to the Borough of
Carteret's Round 2 Demolition Bond Loan Program Grant to allow
for the transfer of $270,000.00 of said grant funds for the
demolition of eleven (11) additional structures.
2. That the Borough hereby requests an extension of contract
completion date until November 30, 2003.
3. That a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the attention of
Megan K. Sullivan, Division of Codes of Standards, Department of
Community Affairs, 101 South Broad Street, P.O. Box 802,
Trenton, New Jersey 08625.

certified as a true copy of the original on
July 25, 2003.
