Regular December 10, 1945 - At a regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia, held in the Council Chamber on Monday, December 10, 1945 at 7:30 o'clock P.M. there were present: E. N. Bradfield, Mayor, C.W.Fiske, .James L. McIntosh, Joseph -L. Oliver, L.C.Rollins, Thelma J. Smoot and J. H. Turley, Councilmen. In the absenee of the necorder, Councilman James L. McIntosh was appointed necorder Pro-tem. The minutes of the last meeting were read and upon motion of C. W. Fiske, seconded by Joseph L. Oliver and unanimously carried, they I were approved as read. The Auditor-Treasurer read his monthly statement for .the month of November, 1945 and preset}ted the current bil-ls,. and upon motion of C.W.Fiske, seconded by Joseph -L.. Oliver and unanimously.carried the following resolution was adopted: BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia that the Auditor-Treasurer be, and he is hereby authorized and diredted to pay the following bills : Va. Oliver and seconded by C .W.Fiske and = unanimously carried the Light Committee was instructed to have an ex- terior light placed over the Town Office door . 11 A general discussion concerning the new proposed parking and traffic regulations was next considered by the Council and numerous business men of the town, as a result of the public meeting, . held on November 19th) 1945. While no definite action was taken, many valuable suggestions were exchanged. On motion of C .W.Fiske, seconded by Joseph L. Oliver and unani- mously carried the Light Committee was instructed to have four temp- orary lights placed in the Town ParkiagkLbt. A proposed petitim. was read to the -Council favoring the con- struction of a bridgg overrthe?Potomac river at or near White' s Ferry. The matter was laid on the table until the next meetbng of Council. 3 .97 , There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the council adjourned. 0 Gw Recorder ro tem — 'f'ayoI Regular January 14, 1946 At a regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia, held in the Council Chamber on Monday, Jan- uary 14, 1946 at 7:30 Otclock P.M. there were present: E.N.Bradfield, Mayor, George E. Ward, Recorder, C.W.Fiske, James L. McIntosh, Joseph L. •Oliver, L.C.Rollins, Thelma J. Smoot and J.H.Turley, Councilmen. The minutes of the last meeting were read and upon motion of C.W.Fiske, seconded by L.C.Rollins and unanimously carried, they were approved as read. The__Auditor-Treasurer read his monthly report for the month of Decembers 1945, his quarterly report for the 'gtiartert ending December 31, 1945 and his annual statement for the calendar year ending. Dec- ember 31, 1945, and upon motion of James L. McIntosh, seconded by Joseph L. Oliver and unanimously carried, the following resolution was adopted: ' WHEREAS, the Auditor-Treasurer has this day.presented to the Council of the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia, a quarterly statement of all receipts and analysis of all disbursements for the months of Oct- ober, November and December, 1945; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by tete Council of the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia, that the said quarterly report of the Auditor- Treasurer be and it is hereby approved and accepted by said Council; " •BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the said Council that the AUditor- Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized and directed to have a copy of the said quarterly report published once in a newspaper, published • in said Town and also post a copy of the said report in front of the Court House in the said Town. On motion of C.W.Fiske , seconded by Thelma J. Smoot and unani- mously carried, the following resolution was adopted: - BE IT- RESOLVED, by the Council of the- Town of Leesburg, in Vir- ginia, that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized and directed to pay_ the following bills: Va.
