Mr. Webb reported that he had taken up with the Chief of Police of Surf - side the matter of the use of the Surfside jail facilities for persons ar- rested for violations of ordinances of the Village, and he read to the meet- ing a letter from the Chief of Police of Surfside extending to the Village the privilege of using the Surfside jail facilities under the circumstances stated. After discussion it was decided that it was the consensus of opinion of the members of the council that the Chief of Police of Surfside had been courteous and cooperative in his offer, and that the Village Council is appreciative thereof, and that Mr. Webb convey a message to this effect to the Chief of Police in Surfside, Mr. Hackett. It was decided that no official action in this connection was necessary at this time, but on motion of Mr. Graham, seconded by Mr. Semmes, it was voted that should the occasion arise requiring the use of jail facilities the police authorities of Bel Harbour Village are authorized to use the facilities offered by the Chief of Police of Surfside. Mr. Graham brought to the attention of the council that the schedule SEPTEMBER 27. 1946 14 of meeting dates of the council is not convenient to all the members, and after discussion, on motion of Mr. Graham, seconded by Mr. Whittaker, it was voted that the regular monthly meeting of the council will here— after be held on the fourth Monday of every month at R:00 P.
