HomeMy Public PortalAbout09-10-2018 Special Village Board Meeting a1 410-61-- ?/c t/c 4 VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES SEPTEMBER 10, 2018 AT: VILLAGE HALL BOARD PRESENT: M.COLLINS, L.NEWTON, E.O'ROURKE, B.WOJOWSKI, M.BONUCHI, B.LAMB, AND C.LARSON. OTHERS PRESENT: B.MURPHY, ADMINISTRATOR; M.GIBAS, VILLAGE CLERK; A.PERSONS, PUBLIC WORK DIRECTOR; J.PROULX, PLANNING DIRECTOR; K.GOSKA, BUILDING OFFICIAL; T.PLECKHAM, MANAGEMENT SERVICES DIRECTOR; AND J.KONOPEK, CHIEF OF POLICE. CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL, PLEDGE Mayor Collins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Roll call was taken, all Trustees were present. Mayor Collins led the Pledge of Allegiance. There were approximately 50 persons in the audience. PUBLIC COMMENTS No Comments. BUSINESS MEETING 1) APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA Trustee Lamb moved to approve the Agenda. Second by Trustee Bonuchi. Vote by roll call. Newton, yes; O'Rourke, yes; Wojowski, yes; Bonuchi, yes; Lamb, yes, Larson, yes. 6 yes, 0 no. Motion carried. 2) 119TH STREET & VAN DYKE ROAD ELEVATED WATER TOWER REPAINTING Trustee Lamb moved to authorize Seven Brothers Painting, Inc. to complete the repainting of the interior of the 119th Street and Van Dyke Road Elevated Water Tower at the bid amount of$197,800. Second by Trustee Bonuchi. Mr. Persons stated that during the inspection and cleaning of the water towers, it was discovered that the interior of the water tower on 119th Street and Van Dyke Road is need of attention as the steel is exposed in some areas. The tower is structurally sound. The sandblasting and painting of the interior will extend the life of the tower. Vote by roll call. Newton, yes; O'Rourke, yes; Wojowski, yes; Bonuchi, yes; Lamb, yes, Larson, yes. 6 yes, 0 no. Motion carried. Trustee Bonuchi moved to adjourn the Special Meeting. Second by Trustee O'Rourke.
