At a regular meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of the Town
of Leesburg, in Virginia, held in the Council.Chamber on Monday, .March
10, 1947 at 7:30 o&clock P.M. , there were present: E.N.Bradfield, Mayor,
ueorge E. ward, necorder, C .W.Fiske, J.L.Mclntosh, J.L.Oliver, L.C.
Rollins, and Thelma J. Smoot, Councilmen.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and upon motion of C.
W. Fiske, seconded by J.L.Oliver and unanimously carried they were
approved as read.
The Auditor-Treasurer read his monthly statement for. the month of
February, 1947 and presented the current bills and upon motion-of C.W.
Fiske, seconded by J.L.Oliver and unanimously carried, the following
resolution was adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg, in Vir-
ginia, that the Auditor-Treasurer be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to pay the following bills: •

On motion of C:: W. Fiske, seconded by Thelma J. Smoot and .
unanimously carried, the following resolution wasr:.adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg, in Vir-
ginia, that if any property owner construct a cement, or other com-
parable -sidewalk, at proper grade levels, within the corporate limits
of the Town, said property owner be refunded $1.25 per square yard of
construction, by the said Town of Leesburg, in Virginia, provided owner
submits his plans in writing to the Town Council and obtains consent
and approval of the said Council. . • . -
On motion of Thelma J . Smoot, seconded by C .W.Fiske and unani-
. mously carried, the week of April 21, 1947, was designated as "Clean-
Up and Faint-up Week and all citizens of the Town are requested to
cooperate by cleaning up thoroughly their property and doing such paint-
ing as is necessary.

There being no further business , on motion duly made, seconded
and unanimously carried, the Council adjourned.
