ORDINANCE NO. 08 -918
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY ADOPTING THE 2007 LOS ANGELES COUNTY
BUILDING CODE (TITLE 26), ELECTRICAL CODE (TITLE 27),
PLUMBING CODE • (TITLE 28) AND MECHANICAL CODE
(TITLE 29) BY REFERENCE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Los Angeles County Ordinance 2007 -0108, an ordinance amending Title 26:
Building Code of the Los Angeles County Code by adopting the 2007 California Building Code and
portions of the 1997 Uniform Building Code, with certain changes and modifications, and making other
revisions thereto, is hereby adopted by reference; Section 7100 of the Temple City Municipal Code is
amended accordingly.
7100. ADOPTION OF CODE.
Except as hereinafter provided, that certain Building Code known and designated as Title 26:
Building Code of the Los Angeles County Code by adopting the 2007 California Building
Code and portions of the 1997 Uniform Building Code, with certain changes and
modifications, and making other revisions thereto, shall be and shall become the Building
Code of the City of Temple City, regulating the erection, construction, enlargement,
alternation, repair, moving, removal, demolition, conversion, occupancy, use, height, area
maintenance of all structures and certain equipment therein specifically regulated and
grading within the City of Temple City, and providing for the issuance of permits and the
collection of fees therefore; and each of all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and
terms of such code, which are on file in the office of the City Clerk are hereby referred to,
adopted and made part hereof as if fully set out in this ordinance; however, adoption of Los
Angeles County Ordinance 2007 -0108 shall exclude all fee changes.
SECTION 2. Los Angeles County Ordinance 2007 -0109, an ordinance amending Title 27:
Electrical Code of the Los Angeles County Code by adopting portions of the 2007 California Electrical
Code, by reference, with certain changes and modifications, and making other revisions thereto, is hereby
adopted by reference; Section 7300 of the Temple City Municipal Code is amended accordingly.
7300. ADOPTION OF CODE.
Except as hereinafter provided, that certain Electrical Code known and designated as Title
27: Electrical Code of the Los Angeles County Code by adopting portions of the 2007
California Electrical Code, by reference, with certain changes and modifications, and making
other revisions thereto, shall be and shall become the Electrical Code of the City of Temple
City, regulating the installation, arrangement, alteration, repair, use and operation of electric
wiring, connections, fixtures and other electrical appliances on premises within the City of
Temple City and providing for the issuance of permits and the collection of fees therefore.
Adoption of Los Angeles County Ordinance 2007 -0109 shall exclude all fee changes.
SECTION 3. Los Angeles County Ordinance 2007 -0110, an ordinance amending Title 28:
Plumbing Code of the Los Angeles County Code by adopting portions of the 2007 California Plumbing
Code, by reference, with certain changes and modifications, and making other revisions thereto, is hereby
adopted by reference; Section 7400 of the Temple City Municipal Code is amended accordingly.
7400. ADOPTION OF CODE.
Except as hereinafter provided, that certain Plumbing Code known and designated as Title
28: Plumbing Code of the Los Angeles County Code by adopting portions of the 2007
California Plumbing Code, by reference, with certain changes and modifications, and making

other revisions thereto, shall be and shall become the Plumbing Code of the City of Temple
City, regulating plumbing and drainage system, house sewers, private sewage disposal
systems and prescribing conditions under which such work may be carried on within the City
of Temple City and providing for the issuance of permits and the collection of fees therefore.
Adoption of Los Angeles County Ordinance 2007 -0110 shall exclude all fee changes.
SECTION 4. Los Angeles County Ordinance 2007 -0111, an ordinance amending Title 29:
Mechanical Code of the Los Angeles County Code by adopting portions of the 2007 California
Mechanical Code, by reference, with certain changes and modifications, and making other revisions
thereto, is hereby adopted by reference; Section 7200 of the Temple City Municipal Code is amended
accordingly.
7200. ADOPTION OF CODE.
Except as hereinafter provided, that certain Mechanical Code known and designated as Title
29: Mechanical Code of the Los Angeles County Code by adopting portions of the 2007
California Mechanical Code, by reference, with certain changes and modifications, and
making other revisions thereto, shall be and shall become the Mechanical Code of the City of
Temple City providing for the issuance of permits and the collection of fees therefore and
providing penalties for violation of such code. Adoption of Los Angeles County Ordinance
2007 -0111 shall exclude all fee changes.
SECTION 5. Copies of the herein referenced codes are on file with the City Clerk of the City of
Temple City; said documents are available for examination during normal business hours.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance and to its
approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to be published according to law.

I, City Clerk of the City of Temple City, hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance, Ordinance 08-
918, was introduced at the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Temple City held on the 2nd
day of January, 2008 and was duly passed, approved and adopted by said Council, approved and signed
by the Mayor and attested to by the City Clerk at the regular meeting held on the 15th of January, 2008
by the following vote:
