Lowenbach, Jr. Mayor, Janes L. McIntosh and J.L.Oliver, Coun- cilmen. . The purpose of the meeting was to allow any citizen oP the Town of Leesburg to present their views on the proposed budget for the fiscal year beginning July, 1, 1948 and ending June 39, 1949. There being no one present for the aforesaid purpose, the meeting adjourned. • v// Joseph . Lowenbach, Jr. , Mayor, ueorge E. ward, necorder, C .W.Fiske, E. H.Janes, J.L.Mclntosh, J.L.Oliver, Thelma J. Smoot and Louis T. Titus, Councilmen. The minutes of thE• April 12 and April 26, 1948, were read and upon motion of C.W.Fiske, seconded by J.L.Oliver and unanimously carried, they were approved as read. The Auditor-Treasurer read his monthly report for the month April, 1948 and presented the current bills, and upon motion E. H. James, seconded by J.L.Oliver and unanimously carried the following resolution was adopted: • BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia, that the Auditor-Treasurer be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to pay the following bills: Va.Electric & Power Co. - Mayor's Office & Fire House $c 2.32 General Pumping • 32.77 Harrison Pumping - 8.b5 Disposal Plant • • - .42 White-way Lighting - 20:407 Street Lighting $222.69 ST • C & P Telephone Co. of Va. - .60 • J.S.Whitmore - 5.00 H & H Esso Station - 5.52 Earl L.
