The Tybee Island City Council held a special hearing on the
request of Attorney John Watts representing Mr. Fred C. King for council
denying Alcoholic Beverage License application at the April 11, 1991
meeting.
Mayor Hosti opened the hearing with the following councilmembers
present: James P. Locklear, Jack Youmans, Bill Walsh, Jimmy Brown, L.
Jefferson Dukes and Paul Jackson. City Attorney Thomas Mahoney was also
present.
After a long question and answer period Councilman Walsh made a
motion to approve the request for the business license. Councilman Youmans
seconded. The vote by council was tied at 3 to 3. Mayor Hosti cast his
vote in favor of Fred C. King's business license.
