Fiske seconded by Frank Raflo and unanimously carried the • following resolution was adopted: BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg, .in Virginia, that T. E. Fisher be and he is hereby authorized and directed to cut down sidewalk along the side of Whitmore's Store and do the work set forth in his bid issued under the date of March 27, 1950 for the amount of $375.00. Council requested that bid be obtained for the completion of the sidewalk con- struction in front of the property of Margaret Diggs. It further requested that r , bids be bbtained for the painting of the roof of the fire house and the work and repairs that were needed at the public toilets. The Finance Committee presented the proposed budget for the fiscal year be- ginning July 1, 1950 and ending June 30, 1951 and upon motion of.Prances L. Patton . seconded by Frank Raflo and unanimously carried the following resolution was adopted: WHEREAS, the Auditor-Treasurer has this day presented to the Council a budget showing the annual receipts and disbursements for the fiscal year 1949 and the es- timated receipts and disbursements for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1950 and ending June 30, 1951, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Councilof the Town of Leesburg in Virginia, that the Auditor-Treasurer be, and he is hereby authorized, instructed, and directed to have the aforesaid budget published once in a newspaper published in said town. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia, that there will be a meeting of the said Council in the Council Chamber of the Town Hall Building, in the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia, at 8:00 o'clock P. M., on Monday, April 24, 1950 for the purpose of giving any citizen of the Town of Leesburg the right to appear before Council and state his views on the aforesaid budget. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, bhat due notice be published once in a newspaper, 111 published in said town.of Leesburg, of.said meeting. Frances L. Patton.gave a report on his and Mr. Raflo'smeeting with the Loudoun County School •Board regarding the Town'.s sewage system being adequate to take care of an additional school in .Leesburg should .the ,Board see fit to erect the school. Mayor Lowenback read a letter .from Mr. Warren C. Farrow with reference to some . construction for the Town's sewage .system. With reference to this matter the Council direfted the Auditor-Treasurer.to write to.the .State Health.Department requesting that they release to Mr. Farrow their file ,plans on the Town sewage system. After receiving a report and recommendations from the ,Street Committee and upon motion of J. L. Oliver, seconded by C. Fiske, the following resolution was adopted:. BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of .the .Town of .Leesburg'in Virginia, that as of this date there .be no parking on the south side .of Loudoun Street from King to Church Streets and .from Wirt to Liberty. , . At a special meeting of the Mayor and Town Council of The Town of Leesburg,. in Virginia, held in the. Council Chamber on Monday April 24, 1950 at .8:00 o 'clock P. M., there were present Maurice R. Lowenbach Jr. Mayor, Frank Raflo Councilman p The purpose of the meeting was to allow any citizen of .the Town of Leesburg to present their views on the proposed budget for the fiscal year begining July 1, 1950 and ending June 30, 1951.
