HomeMy Public PortalAbout077-2007 - 2007 Budget Amendment - Park SalariesORDINANCE NO. 77-2007 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.55-2006 KNOWN AS THE 2007 SALARY ORDINANCE WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-4-7-3 requires the Mayor to fix the compensation of each appointive officer, deputy and other employee of the city departments, except police officers and firefighters, prior to September 30 for the ensuing budget year subject to the approval of Common Council; and WHEREAS, the compensation fixed herein may not be increased during the budget year for which it is fixed but may be reduced by the Mayor for each appointive officer, deputy and other employee of the city departments set forth herein or by the City Clerk for employees of the Clerk's office; and WHEREAS, Common Council has previously adopted Ordinance No. 55-2006 to establish salaries for the year 2007 and has amended with Ordinance 28-2007, Ordinance 34-2007 and Ordinance 3 5-2007, Ordinance No. 43 -2007, Ordinance No. 64-2007, and now it is necessary to eliminate the Director of Admin. And Special Proj. and create a Business Manager NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana that the following positions be compensated not in excess of the respective sums hereafter set forth during the calendar year 2007, to wit: 2006 2007 2007 2007 Current Annual % Bi-Weekly Hourly Annual Salary Increase Salary Rate Salary Department of Parks and Recreation Park Superintendent 58,474.70 3.0% 2,316.50 60,228.94 Asst. Compensation for these positions may range from $5.85 to $15.00 per hour. ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION In addition to the salaries set forth above, all of the employees, excluding members of the Board of Works, the Aviation Board and the Park and Recreation Board, shall be entitled to additional compensation, such as, overtime, compensation time, etc., and those same fringe benefits as set forth within the City of Richmond Personnel Policy or as stated in negotiated contracts.
