chase raincoats, pants, and hats from Plasters Clothing Store @ $19.50 per
outfit for the men working on the Town trash truck.
Upon motion of Emmerson H. James, seconded by Morton Riddle, and voted
on three to three by the Council Mayor Dailey voting for, the following res-
olution was adopted:
_ BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia
that the Auditor-Trasurer be and he is hereby authorized and directed to
renew the contract with T. S. Alexandria to haul garbbage for the Town for
$100.00 per month.
Mayor Dailey'appointed Emmmerson H. James, ' and Vernon Claggett to work
with the ealth Deptartment regarding rabies clinics. •
There being no further business upon motion duly made seconded and
carried Council adjourned.

SPECIAL JANUARY, 22, 1952. •
AT a special meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Town of Leesburg
- in Virginia, held in the Council Chamber, on Tuesday, January, 22, 1952, at
7:30 o'clock P. M. , there were present E. S. Dailey, Mayor, Horace hL Hallett
Recorder, Vernon L., Claggett, Emmerson H. James, Harry F. 1°ewton, Morton Ridd-
le•, Thelma J. Smoot, and Winslow Williams Councilmen. - •
Mr. J. S. Board, District Engineer of The Virginia State Highway Dep-
artment appeared before Council and presented a plan regarding one way street
system for the Town, and upon motion of Emmerson H. James, seconded by Win-
slow Williams, and unaminously carried this matter was tabled until Council's
next regular meeting.
Upon motion of Winslow Williams, seconded by Emmerson H. James, and
unaminously carried the following resolution was adopted:

BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia
that the Virginia State Highway Departmentbe, and they are hereby requested
to assist the Town of Leesburg, in construction of a side walk on Cornwall
Street between Wirt and Ayre Streets, on the north side of the said Cornwall
Street, and on Market Street between Liberty and Ayre Streets on the south
isde of the said Market Street.
BE IT•r'URTHER RESOLVED, by the Council of the .Town of Leesburg in •
Virginia, that in the event satisfactory width right of ways can not be ob-
tained, that .the Virginia State Highway Department be and they are hereby
requested to assist the said Town of Leesburg in the Construction of a three
- foot ( 3ft. ) side walk on the said streets. And that the said Town of Lees-
burg does hereby agree to participate on a fifty fifty basis, and further
agrees to furnish the necessary unrestricted right of ways.
Upon-motion duly made seconded, and carried Council adjourned.

7:309 o'clock P. M. , there were present Horace �. Hallett, Recorder, Ver-
non-L. Claggett, Emmerson H. James, Harry F. Newton, and Morton Riddle Coun-
oilmen.
Officer moreland requested permission. for officer Fogle to work part
of his shit during the week ending February 1st) and upon motion-of Morton
Riddle, seconded by Vernon Claggett, and carried by a vote of three to one
Harpy Newt voting against this request was granted.
