APPROVING CHANGE ORDER #1
PMK GROUP - SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT DEMOLITION
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the Borough of Carteret has previously entered into
a contract with the PMK Group for asbestos management services related to demolition
at the Carteret Sewage Treatment Plant; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer for the project, T&M Associates, has
advised the Governing Body that a modification to said contract is necessary; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer has advised the Governing Body that
said modification was unforeseen at the time of the award of the original contract; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer has recommended that the contract
with the PMK Group be modified in accordance with Change Order No. 1 (See attached
Change Order), providing for a net increase in the original contract in the amount of
$750.00 as agreed to by the PMK Group; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body has reviewed Change Order No. 1 and with the
recommendation of the Borough Engineer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Borough Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. Contract Change Order No. 1, attached hereto and made a part hereof, resulting in a
net increase of $750.00 in the overall contract price as agreed to by the PMK Group is
hereby approved.
2. That the Borough's Purchasing Department is hereby authorized to make payment to
the PMK Group in accordance with this Resolution contingent upon the availability of
funds for said purpose.
3. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing Department,
T&M Associates, and the PMK Group.
Adopted this 14th day of August, 2003
and certified as a true copy of the
