ORDINANCE NO. 09 -928
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY AMENDING SECTION 3569 OF THE TEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL
CODE PROHIBITING SMOKING IN CITY PARKS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 3569 of the Temple City Municipal Code is hereby amended to
read as follows:
3569: BEHAVIOR
No person in a park or civic center shall, except as express written permission is
granted by the Parks and Recreation Commission:
Q. Smoke and /or posses a lighted tobacco product, including but not limited to
cigars and cigarettes.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance
and shall cause the same to be published according to law.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on this 21st day of July, 2009.

I, City Clerk of the City of Temple City, hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No.
09 -928 was introduced at the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Temple City held
on the 7th day of July, 2009 and was duly passed, approved and adopted by said Council,
approved and signed by the Mayor and attested to by the City Clerk at the regular meeting held
on the 21st day of July, 2009 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmember- Chavez, Sternquist, Wong, Yu, Vizcarra
NOES: Councilmember -None
ABSENT: Councilmember -None
