BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the said firm of Hayes, Seay,
Mattern and Mattern shall submit a statement on the request of
Council with the right on the part of the Town to determine what
.tea are necessary. • •

There being no further business, upon motion of Reginald K.
Gheen, seconded by Maurice R. Lowenbach, Jr. , and carried by a
vote of three to nothing, Gheen, Gill and Lowenbach for, Riddle
not voting, Council adjourned.

SPECIAL APRIL 29, 1954
At a special meeting of the Mayor and Council of •_ s_
the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia, held in the Council Chamber on
Tuesday, April 12, 1954, at 8 :30 o' clock P. M. , there were present
William W. Nickels, Mayor, Horace M. Hallett, Recorder, Reginald K.
Gheen, Howard B. Gill, Emmerson H. James, Maurice R. Lowenbach, Jr. ,
Frank Raflo, and Morton Riddle, III , Councilmen.
.The Mayor stated that the meeting had been called at the re-
quest •of some of the Councilmen for the consideration of a proposal
to sell the Town Hall building.
. After some lengthly discussion regarding the proposal, and upon
motion of Frank Raflo, seconded by Reginald K. Gheen, and carried by
- a vote of five to one, Gheen, Gill, James , Raflo and Lowenbach for,
Riddle against, the following resolution was adopted :
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg, in Vir-
ginia, that the Town' s Attorney•,be, and he is hereby requested and
instructed to,confer.with the attorney .of,Mr: .C.. B. Ritchie and Mr.
J. E. Bell -to- prepare anagreementfor the sale of the Town Hall
property from the Town of Leesburg; and that the sale price of the
Town Hall property shall be 827,500.00; and an option to sell the
Fire House at the figure of 2,500.00, and that the said agreements
be presented to the Council at a special meeting or at the Councils
next regular meeting. •
Mr. Riddle submitted his resignation as a member of the Town
- Hall ag Committee.

of Leesburg, In Virginia, held in the Council Chamber on Friday,
April 23, at 5:20 o' clock P. M„ there were present William W.
Nickels , Mayor, Horace M. Hallett', Recorder, Reginald K. Gheen,
Howard B. Gill, Emmerson H. James , Maurice R. Lowenbach, Jr. ,
Frank Raflo, and Morton Riddle, III, Councilmen.
The Mayor read--and--presented- a waiver of notice of a special
meeting of the Council- of---the-Townof--Leesburg, in Virgtia, with •
all six member of--the Council present and having signed the said
waive which is as-follows : - - •

"We, the undersigned, being all of the member elected to
the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia, hereby waive
notice of time, place and purpose of a special meeting of the
I -
