These minutes are formally submitted to the Town of Minturn Planning Commission for approval as the official
written record of the proceedings at the identified Meeting. Additionally, all Planning Commission meetings are
tape-recorded and are available to the public for listening at the Town Center Offices from 8:30am-2:00 pm,
Monday through Friday, by contacting the Planning Office at 970/827-5645 302 Pine St. Minturn, CO 81645.

1. Call to Order
Chair L. Teach called the meeting to order at 6:30pm

Present: Chair Lynn Teach, Bobby Head, Jeff Armistead, Burke Harrington.
Note: Greg Gastineau was excused absent.

2. Approval of Agenda

Motion by Jeff A., second by Bobby H. to approve the agenda as presented. Motion passed 4-0.

3. Approval of Minutes
February 22, 2017
Motion by Jeff A., second by Bobby H. to approve the minutes of February 22, 2017 as
presented. Motion passed 4-0.
4. Public comments on items, which are NOT on the agenda (5 -minute time limit per
person)
1. Peace -Love -Yoga Sign Application
Janet H. displayed the location and image of the sign of 14" tall x 8' long as requested,
clarifying that the sign will be painted onto the building, within the designated white space.
Motion by Jeff A., second by Burke H., to approve the "Peace * Love Yoga" Sign as
presented, which will be placed in the white space over the front door of the business center.
Motion passed 4-0.
Note: As long as the owner of the building approves the sign, planning commission is fine
with the design.
2. Design Review: 992 Main Street, Minturn, CO
Janet H. introduced David Burns, architect for the project. He showed the plans of the house,
explaining the design and the materials that will be used. The trim on the home will have
black metal panels, light gray stone and horizontal wood panels.
Planning Commission stated the snow fence is a good idea because of 5' side yard setbacks,
and snow clips will also work.
Burke H. expressed his concern regarding parking: the cars will each need to be moved to get a
car out of the garage — they are stacked in — this will be difficult in real life — suggest use shared
driveway to turn cars around so enter onto Highway 24 instead of backing onto Highway.
Motion to approve the Design Review of 992 Main Street, with the recommendation that the
parking is reviewed and thought over further, first by Burke H, second by Jeff A. Motion passed
4-0.

Janet H, updated the commission about the latest Council meeting agendas:
