Minutes of the Committee of the Whole Workshop of the President and the Board of Trustees
Held on September 24, 2018
At the Public Works Facility
Mayor Collins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Board Present: Mayor Collins, Trustee
Wojowski, Trustee Bonuchi, Trustee Lamb, Trustee Larson, and Trustee Newton. Board absent:
Trustee O'Rourke. Others present: Traci Pleckham, Management Services Director; Michelle
Gibas, Village Clerk; Allen Persons, Public Works Director; Randy Jessen, Public Improvements
Superintendent; Scott Threewitt, Lead Engineer; Jon Proulx, Planning Director; Ken Goska, Building
Official; and John Konopek, Police Chief. There was one person in the audience.
Trustee Bonuchi moved to approve the Minutes of the Special Meeting and Committee of the Whole
Workshop held on September 10, 2018. Second by Trustee Larson. Voice Vote. All in favor, 0
opposed. Motion carried.

WORKSHOP
1) 2018 AUDIT
Mr. Jim Savio, Sikich LLP, reviewed the 2018 Fiscal Year Audit. Mr. Savio stated that they have
issued an unmodified opinion which is the highest level of assurance that they can provide to the
Village.
2) CAPITAL OUTLOOK
Village staff gave a presentation highlighting the 143rd Street east extension; 143rd Street west
extension, 143rd Street/Wallin Drive & Route 30 Intersection Improvements; 127th Street/Plainfield
Naperville Road Improvements; Renwick Road Reconstruction; Woodfarm Road Reconstruction;
Indian Boundary Bridge; 2018 Street Improvement Program; 2019 Street Improvement Program;
135th Street Corridor Study (Van Dyke east to Naperville/Plainfield Road); I-55 Interchange
Improvements; CN Grade Crossings and Quiet Zone; Illinois American Water Transmission Lane;
Lake Water Station; Water Pressure Station Generator; PACE Park n Ride; Village Green Utility
Improvements, and Grant Awards and Submittals.
Mayor Collins thanked the staff for the presentation and read the reminders.
Trustee Wojowski moved to adjourn. Second by Trustee Bonuchi. Voice Vote. All in favor, 0
opposed. Motion carried.
