AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR
ARCHITECTURAL WORK AT BOROUGH HALL WITH VENEZIA AND
ASSOCIATES, LLC
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specializing architectural services in
connection with the architectural work at Borough Hall; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's consulting architects, Venezia and Associates, LLC, 104
Bayard St, New Brunswick, New Jersey 08901, possesses the requisite experience and
expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, Venezia and Associates, LLC has submitted a proposal to provide said
services, to include preparation of construction documents and bidding services and
contract administration (Phase II and III) at a total cost not to exceed $60,564; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and the Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from Venezia and Associates, LLC for architectural services related
to the architectural work at Borough Hall at a total cost not to exceed $60,564 is
hereby approved;
2. This action is approved as an award ora professional services contract.
3. The copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing
Department and Venezia and Associates, LLC.
Adopted this 14th day of August, 2003
and certified as a true copy of the
original on August 15, 2003.
