AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR THE
PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING PHASE FOR THE DPW BUILDING SITE
WITH CME ASSOCIATES
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized engineering
services in connection with the location and design ora new public works facility, for the
Preliminary Engineering phase for the DPW Building Site; and
WHEREAS, CME Associates, 3141 Bordentown Avenue, Parlin, New Jersey
08859, possesses the requisite experience and expertise to provide said services; and
WI~IEREAS, CME Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said services
at a total cost not to exceed $26,500.00, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WFtEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be
available for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council oftha
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from CME Associates for engineering services related to the
location and design cfa new public works facility, for the Preliminary
Engineering phase for the DPW Building Site, at a total cost not to exceed
$26,500 is hereby approved;
2. This action is approved as an award cfa professional services contract pursuant to
N.J.S.A 40A: 11-5(1)(a)
3. A copy of this Resolution be fowarded to the Borough's Purchasing Department
and CME Associates.
Adopted this 14th day of August, 2003
and certified as a tree copy of the original
on August 15, 2003.
