Perrow in which he recommended that- the Loudoun Coun- ty School Board be given permission to connect the sewer line from the proposed Douglass School to the Town of Leesburg sew- . age system, and upon motion of Dr. James T. Jackson, seconded by Reginald K. Gheen and unaminously carried the following re- solution was adopted : BE IT RESOLVED, byethe Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that in compliance with the recommendation of Mr. Warren C. Perrow that the Loudoun County School Board be and they are hereby given permission to connect the sewer line from the proposed Douglass School to the towns sewage system, and that the Division Supt; of Schools be advised by letter as to the• cost of the said sewer connection and cost of dis- posing of the sewage from the said school. * Insert Louncilman Gheen of the Finance Committee submitted a Ji proposed budget to Council for the fiscal year begining July 1, 1957 and ending June 30, 1958 and upon motion of Reginald k. Gheen seconded by C. R. Hollandswemth and unaminously carr- ied ( Dr. Jackson not present for the voting on this resolut- t'' ion ) the following resolution waa adopted: • • BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in �a-. Virginia that the proposed budget be further considered at n. a special meeting to be held in the Council Chamber on June • 3rd; 1957 at 8 :00 P. M. , and at which time the citizens of the town would be given an opportunity to express their views re- garding the said proposed budget and that the siad budget be published once in a newsnaper in the Town of Leesbur. • There being no further business and upon motion duly made •seconded and carried Council adjourned. Insert- Mr. Ben Curry of the Koontz Equipment Corporati m appeared before .Council and discussed plans for metering the town's new parking lot. .Council authorized the Auditor-Treasurer to contract for 76 parking meters to be placed on the parking lot and that the location of the meters are to be approved by the Engineer-Inspector and the Street Committee. SPECIAL June 3, 1957 At a special meeting of the Mayor and Council of the town of Leesburg in Virginia, held in the Council Chamber Monday June 3rd; 1957, at 8:00 o'clock P. M; there were present E. B. White Mayor, Horace M. Hallett, Re- _. -corder, George J. Durfey, Reginald K. Gheen , Howard B. Gill, C. R. Hollands- worth and Mae Bass Mitchel Councilmen. Mayor White stated that the special meeting had been called and adver- tised for the purpose of giving any citizen of the Town of Leesburg the op- portunity to express his views concerning the proposed budget for the fiscal ' year begining July 1, 1957 and ending June 30, 1958. Three citizens were present and discussed the budget breifly, but made no recommendations for any changes. At 8:115 P.
