Mitchell and unanimously carried : r w o-S _ RESOLVED , That the Mayor be and he is hereby instructed to advise Mr . Parker of the termination of the lease agree- ment dated December 3 , 1957 ;' and , BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor be instructed and directed to negotiate with Mr . Parker as to an extension of a month ' s time for the use of the police Town car in order to give sufficient time for the delivery of the new car from Leesburg Motors . Upon motion of Mr . Johnson , seconded by Mrs . Mitchell' and unanimously carfied , it was : RESOLVED, that if and when the present Loudoun County High School is enlarged that the .Town of Leesburg furnish to the high school up to an equal amount or 10 ,000 gallons Cq of water a day. M C' Inasmuch as the previous scheduled special meeting of the Town Council for consideration of the Zoning map and a, Zoning Ordinance had been postponed from November 20, 1958 , it was agreed that the aforesaid meeting would be held November 25, 1958 at 8: 00 P . Aro...et- -L May • • "7-- SPECIAL MEETING, NOVEMBER 25, 1958. At a special meeting of the Council for the Town of Lees- burg , in Virginia , held November 25, 1958 there were present George J . Durfey , Mayor ; Elinor M. Cunningham, Recorder ; C. Meloy Fishback; Mae Bass Mitchell , Oden Semones and J . Austin Wright , Councilmen. The Mayor stated that the purpose of this meeting was to consider the proposed Zoning map and the proposed Zoning Ordinance . After due consideration by the Council for the Town of Leesburg , after the proposed changes , the following resolution was unanimously adopted ; upon motion of Mr . Wright , seconded • _ by Mr . Fishback and unanimously carried : WHEREAS. the Council for the Town of Leesburg has con-• si,der.edethe proposed amended Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map for the Town of Leesburg . as recommended by the Planning Commission for the Town of Leesburg , and has made certain changes therein; BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that the tentative changes be and the same are hereby adopted for presentation to the public as required by the Zoning Ordinance for the Town of Leesburg and the Code of Virginia of 1950, as amended ; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor be and he is hereby instructed and directed to insert in the LOUDOUN TIMES MIRROR, a newspaper having general circulation in the Town of Leesburg , an appropriate notice of a public hearing relative to the adoption of the proposed amended Zoning . Ordinance and Zoning Map , which hearing shall be held January • 20 , 1958 at 8 : 00 P . M. at the County Office Building in Leesburg , Virginia; and , BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor be and he hereby is instructed and directed to p±acere the public advertisement in the aforementioned LOUDOUN TIMES MIRROR so that the said publication will be commenced in the issue of said newspaper on January 1 . 1958. Upon motion of Mr . Wright , seconded by Mr . Eishback and unanimously carried , it was : RESOLVED, That the Council hold another meeting to consider the Zoning Ordinance for the Town of Leesburg • at the call of the Mayor . Upon motion of Mr. Wright , seconded by Mrs . Mitchell and unanimously carried , the following resolution was unanimously adopted : BE IT ORDAINED by the Council for the Town of Lees- burg in Virginia that the term street and highway shall be defined to include ;publicly owned parking areasin all the traffic ordinances adopted heretofore by the Town Council for the Town of Leesburg . Upon motion of Mr . Wright , seconded by Mr . Fishback and unanimously carried , it was : RESOLVED , By the Council of the Town of Leesburg , in Virginia , that the Mayor be and he is hereby instructed to insert notice in the LOUDOUN TIMES MIRROR and other public media , that there will be free parking in the public owned parking lots for a period of two hours daily beginning December 8 and ending at midnight . December 2h , 1958; and , BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , That the Mayor be and he is hereby instructed to advise the Police force as to this resolution; and , further . to instruct the Police force not to issue tickets for the above mentioned period .
