RESOLVED, that the Finaice Committee of the Town of
Leesburg meet with Messrs. Baboon, Gheen and Martin with
respect to a more thorough consideration of the different
problems involved in the proposed Bond Issue : and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Attorney is in-
' structed to advise the firm of Reed. Hoyt, Washburn and
McCarthy, bonding attorneys of New York, that the first
year of the payment of the Bond Issue will be in 1963,
I/ beginning January1 and each year thereafter on Jatuary 1
through 1982 at 15,000.00.
Upon motion of Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Gill and
unanimously carried, it was:
RESOLVED, That a reward off25o.do be offered for the
apprehension and conviction of the so-called "prowler" in
the Town of Leesburg; and, `
=V BE. IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the Police
Committee work together in at effort to apprehend said prowler .

QUponvmotion of Mr. *right, seconded by Mr. Fishback,

RESOLVED;. that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is
hereby instructed and directed to make a check payable to
Richard H. and Annie B. Harris as a deposit on the property
the Town of Leesburgcproposes to purchasd from the said
Harris ' . •
4 . Upon motion of Mr. Johnson,"sedonded by Mr. Fishback,
it was:
RESOLVED: , that the Mayor be and he hereby is instructed
to go forwabd with any necessary negotiations that are neces-
sary with respect to certain easements the Town needs for
the construction and installation of water and sewer lines
• in the newlynannexed areas of' the Town of Leesburg.

SPECIAL MEETING, June 22, 1959
At a special meeting of the Council of the Town of Leesburg,
• in Virginia, held June 22, 1959, in Council Chanbers at 8:00
P. M. , there were present: George J. Durfey, Mayor, C. Meloy
Fishback, Howard B, Gill, Mae Bass Mitchell, Odeh Semones and
J. Austin Wright.-

' In -the absence of the recorder Mae Bass Mitchell was ap-
pointed recorder pro-tem.
' The Mayor stated that the purpose of this meeting was
to consider the proposed budget.

Upon motion of Mr. Gill, sedonded by Mr. Wright, and
unanimously carried, it was:
WHEREAS, the following proposed budget was presented
to Council on May 20m 1959, and the same was published in
a newspaper published in the. Town of Leesburg, Virginia
and every citizen was given an opportunity to express his
views regarding this budget at a Special hedtingcOf Council
of the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia, on June 22, 1959, and
no object:.ons were made thereto by any citizen of the Town
of Leesburg;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
Town of Leesburg, in Virginia, that the proposed budget be
and the same is hereby adopted as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the tax rate on personal
property and real estate be set - at Eighty Five Cents ($0.85)
per one hundred dollars valuation and thatthe tax rate on
national bank stock tax be set at Eighty Cents ($0.80) , per
one hundred dollar valuabion. -

RESOLVED, that the work as requested in a letter from
Mrs. Anna Rogers, be and the same is hereby authorized to
be done in accordance with instructions given the Virginia
and Electric Power Company by the Council of theTown of
Leesburg, in Virginia .
