Upon motion of Mrs. Mitchell, seconded by Mr. Gill and
unanimously carried, it was:
RESOLVED, That the resolution adopted April l3, 1959,
granting to L. W. Parker permission to use Lots, through
23 as a trailer court, be held in abeyance until such time
as proper fencing or protection for people in said Court
is provided between the trailer court and the quarry to the
South of his property.
Upon motion of Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Gill arid
unanimously carried, it was:
RESOLVED, that a committee composed of Mr. Senonew and Mr.
fFishback and Mr. Johnson contact Mr. L. W. Parker with respedt
to the necessity for, and plans to erect a fence by Mr. Frank
Eppes between the trailer court and the quarry for the safety
and protection of the citixens residing in said court;
Upon motion of Mr. Semones, seconded by Mr. Gill , and
unanimously carried, it was:
REWOLVED, that a letter be sent to all new members of the
Council inviting them to attend the regular meerings of the
Town Council in order for said members to become faniliar with
the different aspectd of Town affairs.
There being no further business to come before the meet-
ing the meeting upon motion duly :Fade and seconded, adjourned.

SPECIAL MEETING, June 15, 1959
At a special meeting of the Council of the Town of
Leesburg, in Virginia, held June 15, 1959, there were
present George J, Durfey, Mayor; C. Meloy Fishback, Howard
B. Gill, Reed Jo#nson, Mae Bass Mitchell, Oden Semones and
J. Austin Wright, Councilmen.
The Town Attorney stated- that the purpose of the meet-
ing was to consider his determination to assist Stirling
M. Harrison, Commonwealth' s Attorney, and J. Sloan Kuyken-
dall, in their opposition to the dam the Town of Fairfax
proposes to construct on Goose Creek.
Upon motion of Mr. Fishback, seconded by Mr. Semones,
and unanimously carried, it was:
RESOLVED, That that the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia,
has no objection to George M. Martin, Esquire, Town Attorney,
associating' with Stirling M. Harrison and J. Sloan Kuykendall
in his individual capacity as a lawyer, to oppose the con-
struction of a dam by the Town of. Fairfax across Goose Creek.
Upon motion of Mr. Wright, seconded by Mr. 'Jo ifscau, and
unanimously carried, it was:

RESOLVED, that the Finaice Committee of the Town of
Leesburg meet with Messrs. Baboon, Gheen and Martin with
respect to a more thorough consideration of the different
problems involved in the proposed Bond Issue: and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Attorney is in-
structed to advise the firm of Reed. Hoyt, Washburn and
McCarthy, bonding attorneys of New Y'nak, that the first
year of the payment of the Bond Issue will be in 1963,
beginning January 1 and each year thereafter on January 1
\ through 1982 at $15,000.00. _

� Upon motion of Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Gill and
unanimously carried, it was:
RESOLVED, That a reward of$25o,00 be offered for the
apprehension and conviction of the so-called "prowler" in
the Town of Leesburg; and, -
BE, IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the P®lice
CT,.. Committee work together in an eff a' t to apprehend said prowler .

RESOLVED;. that the Auditor-Treasurer be and he is
hereby instructed and directed to make a check payable to
Richard H. and Annie B. Harris as a deposit on the property
the Town of Leesburggproposes to purchase from the said
Harris ' . -

� . Upon motion of Mr. Johnson, sedonded by Mr. Fishback,
it was: • .
RESOLVED: , that the Mayor be and he hereby is instructed
to go forward(' with any necessary negotiations that are neces-
sary with respect to certain easements the Town needs for
the construction and installation ofl water and sewer lines
• in the newlynannexed areas of- the Town of Leesburg.

SPECIAL MEETING, June 22, 1959
At a special meeting of the Council of the Town of Leesburg,
in Virginia, held June 22, 1959, in Council Chanbers at 8:00
P. M. , there were present: George J. Durfey, Mayor, C. Meloy
Fishback, Howard •B, Gill, Mae Bass Mitchell, Odeh Semones and
J. Austin Wright:

• The Mayor stated that the purpose of this meeting was
to consider the proposed budget.
