Town of Leesburg, in Virginia, do severally waive all of the

of a Special Meeting of the Town Council and consent that the 't'

purpose of accepting the Bid of the Town ' s Bond Issue in the
amount of $300,000.00.

SPECIAL MEETING, October 29, 1959 -
A special meetingrof the Council for the Town of Leesburg,
in Virginia, was called to order at 12:00 Noon, October 29,
1959, by the Mayor, George J. B abson. Councilmen present
were C, Mdloy Fishback, George E. Isaacs:,—Emerson H. James,
John W. Pumphrey and J. Austin Wright.
The Mayor stated tha t the purpose of this meeting was / t
to await a communication from George M. Martin, Esquire , Town: II
Attorney, who was in conference in Richmond, Virginia , with
the State Commission on Local Debt, for the purposeof as-
certaining the most advantageous bid for the $300 ,000 .00 Water
and Sewer Bonds of the Town of Leesburg.
.r Upon motion bf Mr. Pumphrey, seconded by Mr. Fishback,
and unanimously adopted, it was resolved that:
Y WHEREAS, the Council for the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia,
deemed it most advisable to accept tine bid of Wachovia Bank
and Trust Company, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, that being
the most advantageous bid received for the 000 ,000 .00Water
and Sewer Bonds of the Town of Leesburg, Allah said bid is in .
the amount of• $300, 725.00, with an effective interest rate of
3.7559 per cent;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that;;tte bid of Wachovia •
Bank and Trust Compa ny of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, pre-
viously stated, be and the same hereby is accepted by theTown
of Leesburg.
