AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
SPADORO & HILSON
WANSKUS V. BOROUGH OF CARTERET
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized legal services in
connection with the appeal of Wanskus v. Borough of Carteret; and
WHEREAS, the law firm of Spadoro & Hilson, possess the requisite experience and
expertise to provide said legal services; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are available for
said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The Law Firm of Spadoro and Hilson is hereby retained as special
counsel in the above referenced matter at an hourly rate of
$125.00 per hour not to exceed an initial maximum cost of
$17,500.00.
2. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this
award is made as a professional services contract pursuant to
N.J.S.A. 40A:l l-5(1)a. A notice of this award shall be advertised
as required by law.

certified as a tree copy of the original on
August 15, 2003.

WITH THE APPEAL OF WANKUS V. BOROUGH OF CARTERET.
NOT TO EXCEED $17,500.00
according to the terms set forth in RESOLUTION.
THE BOROUGH does hereby agree to pay the Contractor the sum set
forth in Resolution.
