Fund for. - the- above .purpose•. - There being no further business to come before the meet- ing, upon motion duly- made and seconded the, meeting adjourned. t v Mayor' REGULAR I:(ELTIEG, JANUARY 9, 1961 A rc;gular meeting of the Council of the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia, was to-- -held January 9, 1961 at 8:07 P. -M. • George J. Hbson, Mayor , called tie meeting to order at10 :21) P. M. There were present C. Maloy Fishback , George E. Isaacs, • Emerson -H. James, Hunter M. Leach , John W. Pumphre y and Austin J. Wright , Councilmen. . The minutes of the regular meeting of December 19 , 136O and the sjecial meetings of DeceMner 27, . 1900 and January 6, 1901, were approved as written and read. The Treasurer ' s report was accepted .as previously pre- sented. Upon motion of Mr. Fishback, seconded by Mr. Isaacs, the following resolution was unanimously adopted: WHEREAS, the Tann of Leesburg, in Virginia , by George J. Babson, Mayor, authenticated that certain contract No. FA-1594 , entitled "Agreement for Water and Sewage 'Disposal Service Between Federal Aviation Agency and the Tann of Leesburg, Virginia, " and forwarded the same to tie Federal Aviation Agency; and, -WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Agency changed Art161e 1, Paragraph 9 to read "June 30, 1961, " and caused the said amended contract to be executed on behalf of the United States of •America ,• Federal Aviation Agency, by D. Oshiver, Acting Chief, Real Estate and Utilities Section, on January 4, 1961 ; • BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia, that said amended contract, attached hereto, be, and the same is hereby accepted and confirmed, and the authentication of said contract by George J. Babson, Mayor, on behalf of the Town of Leesburg is ratified and shall be. fully effective from the adoption of this reso- lution, as if re-authenticated by the said George J. Babson, Mayor . st - • .1 Upon motion of Mr. Pumphrey, seconded by Mr. Isaacs, the following resolution was unanimously adopted: HF. IT RESOLVED, by the Council for the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia , that the request of Frank J. Schaffer, Inc . for the waiver of the re,uirement of a corporate surety bond ,for the physical improvements in Prospect Hills Subdivision, Section II, be, and the same is hereby referred to the Plan - ning Commission for its report and recommendation to the Council. y � Upon motion of Mr. Isaacs, seconded by Mr . Leach, the following resolution was unanimously adopted: BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council for the Town of LeesbutE, in Virginia , that the sum of Two Hundred Dollars ( r200 .CX , be, and the same is hereby apuropriated from unappropriated ' surplus4funds for the Jurpose of surveying and engineering �iElea� costs for the construction of an extension of Buick Street between Market and Loudoun Streets , which area has been con- veyed to the Town •of Leesburg by James Harris, Trustee ; and, • BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000 .00) be, and the same is hereby appropriated • J14 r'�' on appropr_ated surplus general funds for the purpose of the repair of trucks and tractor . • Upon motion of Mr. Isaacs, seconded by Mr. James, the following resolution was unanimously adopted: BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council for the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia , that the names of Maurice R. Lowenbach and George G. Fairall be submitted to the Judge of the Circuit Court for Loudoun County for re-appointment to the Leesburg Board of Zoning Appeals for a term of three ,years, said term to expire February 28, 1964 ; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that George M. Martin, Town Attorney, be , and he is hereby authorized and directed to ' institute all necessary and proper proceedings in the Circuit Court of Loudoun County for the re-appointment of Maurice R. Lowenbach and George G, Fairall, as aforesaid . The Mayor advised that the annual reports of Frank B. Caldwell, Chairman of the Planning Commission for the Town of. Leesburg, and Sybil W. Wanner, Zoning Administrator for the sfiid Town, had both been received. Upon motion of Mr. James, secondedty Mr . Pumphrey , the meeting adjourned at 11 :25 P. M. V.t, /4 4 dr• O Mayor 1 •
