AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR
ENGINEERING SERVICES WITH T&M ASSOCIATES - PHASE II OF
THE MANHOLE REHABILITATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized engineering
services in connection with Phase II of the Manhole Rehabilitation Project; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer, Donald J. Norbut, P.E.,
C.M.E., of T&M Associates, possesses the requisite skill and expertise to provide
said services; and
WHEREAS, Donald T. Norbut, P.E., C.M.E. has submitted a proposal to provide
said eagineefing services at a total cost not to exceed $4,000; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal;
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be
available for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. That the proposal from Donald T. Norbut, P.E., C.M.E. of
T&M Associates for engineering services related to Phase II of the
Manhole Rehabilitation Project, in the total amount of $4,000
billable in accordance with T&M's existing contract with the
Borough is hereby approved;
2. That annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal;
3. That this action is approved as an award of a professional
services contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:l 1-5(1)(a).
Adopted this 14th day of August, 2003
and certified as a true copy of the
original on August 15, 2003.

As per Resolution Number 03-233.
THE CONTRACTOR does hereby agree to perform the following
PROFESSIONAL SERVICE SPECIALIZED ENGINEERING SERVICES IN
CONNECTION WITH PHASE II MANHOLE REHABILITATION PROJECT.
NOT TO EXCEED $ 4,000.00
according to the terms set forth in RESOLUTION.
THE BOROUGH does hereby agree to pay the Contractor the sum set
forth in Resolution.

caused these presents to be signed by their proper corporate officers and their corporate
