Please note: When paying by check at City Hall, the City’s check processing system eliminates any float for most checks. Your account will be
debited as soon as the City receives your check!
Pedestrian Crossings
Vehicles must stop for pedestrians crossing at any marked
intersection, with or without lights. It is illegal to pass a car
stopped at a crosswalk –assume a pedestrian is crossing.
Pedestrians, PLEASE, use marked crosswalks and always
operate lights. You are helping to train drivers! After
pedestrians clear intersection, vehicles may proceed without
waiting for flashers.
SCHOOL IS ON! WATCH OUT FOR CHILDREN!
Cyclists, use 2nd Ave/Van Horn bike routes. Cyclists have all
responsibilities of vehicles, but also all rights of motor vehicles.
Drivers must provide 3’ clearance when passing a bicycle!

City Manager’s Morning In and Mayor’s Night In
The City Manager is at Tybee Oaks’ Tybean Fridays, 9-10am, for
coffee. Watch the city calendar online, for schedule updates.
Mayor Buelterman’s monthly Night is for issues more appropriate
to Council is second Tuesday each month. Call Jan LeViner,
472.5080, for an appointment.
TIPD VIP Lunchean
On the return from summer’s hiatus, Chief Bryson assures us that
this month’s VIP lunch will be the best ever.

…about existing agenda items, speak during public comments.
To get on the agenda, file an Agenda Request with the City Clerk
by noon, Wednesday, eight days prior to the Meeting! Council
meets 2nd & 4th Thursday, 7PM, each month. Visit City Hall or our
web site for the form. If you are presenting to Council, you must
provide your presentation no less than 48 hours in advance to
Clerk or IT staff!
