Pumphrey 1 8b Special Meeting of the Leesburg Town Council, July 12, 1962 A Special Meeting of the Leesburg Town Council was held in the Council Chambers , Leesburg, Virginia on July 12, 1962. Mayor Frank.Raflo called the Special Meeting to order at 5:10 P.M. Councilmen present were George. J. ?abson, Stanley F. Caulkins, George P. Hammerly, Maurice R. Lowenbach and John W.. .Pumphrey. The Waiver of Prior Notice of this Special Meeting was signed by all members present. See Attached Schedule "Am The Report of the Airport Committee was presented by Councilman Hammerly. Upon Motion of Councilman Hammerly; seconded by Councilman Caulkins the attached Offer to purchase a site for an Airport was: approved. - Voting Yeas, Councilmen Caulkins , Hammerly, Lowenbach, Pumphrey and Mayor Raflo; Nays, Councilman Babson. See Attached Schedule "B" . • Upon Motion of Councilman Lowenbach; seconded by Councilman Caulkins the following resolution was approved . Voting Yeas , Councilmen , Caulkins , Hammerly, Lowenbach, Pumphrey and Mayor Raflo; Nays , Council- man Babson. BE IT RESOLVED , by the Council for the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that Twenty-five Hundred Dollars ($2500.00) from the General Fund , be set aside to the Loudoun National Bank of Leesburg and that the Treasurer is hereby authorized to write such check in agreement with the terms of the above offer. Upon Motion of Councilman Babson, Seconded by Councilman Lowenbach and there being no further business to come before this Special Meeting the Council was adjourned at 5:45 P.M. by general agreement of the Council. i/1044 Mayor• • Recorder
