AWARDING CONTRACT FOR WASHINGTON AVENUE/ROOSEVELT
AVENUE STREETSCAPE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret previously authorized bud specifications
and receipt of bids for the Washington Avenue/Roosevelt Avenue Streetscape
Project; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Purchasing Agent has solicited and received four (4)
bid proposals for said project; and
WHEREAS, Aldarell Enterprises, P.O. Box 2092, Ocean, New Jersey 07712
submitted the lowest bid for the said selected options as evidenced by the
response on file with the Borough Purchasing Agent; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer for the project EKA Associates,
has reviewed the above bid proposals and has recommended the award of a
contract to Aldarell Enterprises to include alternates 1, 2 or 3.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby
authorized to enter into a contract with Aldarell Enterprises
for the sum of $1,814,608.10 to include alternates 1, 2 or 3
in accordance in all respects with the request for proposals
and bid on same.
Adopted this 8th day of August, 2003
and certified as a tree copy of the
original on August 11, 2003.

As per Resolution Number 03-229a.
THE CONTRACTOR does hereby agree to perform the following
AWARD OF BID WASHINGTON/ROOSEVELT AVENUES STREETSCAPE
PROJECT, INCLUDiNG ALTERNATES 1, 2, & 3.
NOT TO EXCEED $1,814,608.10
according to the terms set forth in RESOLUTION & BID.
THE BOROUGH does hereby agree to pay the Contractor the sum set
forth in Resolution.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have hereunder set their hands and seals or
caused these presents to be signed by their proper corporate officers and their corporate
