AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
FIRE PREVENTION & SAFETY GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, The Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program has grant funding available
through the Fire Prevention & Safety Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Fire Department desires to submit a grant application
to obtain funds that will be used to procure: (1) Fire Extinguisher Training
System and (2) Classroom Videos; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Fire Department is hereby authorized to submit a
grant application to the Fire Prevention & Safety Grant Program.
2. The City of Richmond Fire Department is authorized to accept said grant
funding in an amount up to Eight Thousand Thirty Two Dollars and Zero Cents
($8,032.00).
3. Said grant funding shall be used to procure: (1) Fire Extinguisher Training
System and (2) Classroom Videos.
Passed and adopted this _3rd day of _December_ 2007, by the Common Council of
the City of Richmond, Indiana.
