March 11, 1963 • A Regular Meeting of the Leesburg Town Council was held in the Council Chambers , Leesburg, Virginia on March 11 , 1963. Mayor Frank Raflo called the meeting to order at 7::30 P.M. Councilmen present were Stanley F. Caulkins, George P. Hammerly, Lynwood! Lay, Hunter M. Leach, Maurice R. Lowenbach and John W. Pumphrey. In the absence of the Recorder Robert C. Forbes was appointed Recorder Pro-Te$. I The Minutes of the Februayy 25, 1963 meeting were approved as t . read with the general consent of the Council. Upon Motion of Councilman Pumphrey; seconded by Councilman s Lowenbach the following resolution was unaminously approved by roll call vote. BE TP RESOLVED, by the Council for the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia, that the action taken by the Council at the Meeting on February 25, 1962, authorizing Johnson & Williams to proceed with a Survey of the Towns existing facilities and recommended improvements pp for Sewage Plant expansion at at fee of $2,000.00 be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed . L: Upon Motion of Councilman Lowenbach; seconded by Councilman CCHammerly the following resolution was unaminously approved by a roll call vote. BE Zr RESOLVED, by the Council for the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia, that the Seagrave Fire Truck, 1929 Model, be given or donated to the Leesburg Volunteer Fire Department, and title to said Truck be transferred to the Fire Department , and further that the Town Manager is hereby authorized to transfer and sign over said Title #1213951 to the Leesburg Fire Department. IIUpon Motion of Councilman Hammerly; seconded by Councilman Caulkins the following resolution was unaminously approved by a roll call vote. BE IT RESOLVED, by the` Council for the Town of Leesburg, in Virginia, that James. W. Ritter, Town Manager, be and he is hereby authorized to execute°•_the attached copy of the project application (for Federal aid for Development of Public Airports) Budget Bureau 17 Form No. 04-R006.1 on behalf of the Town of Leesburg and in its name. The Tbwn Manager gave a' report to the Council on the Leesburg Estates. Upon Motion of Councilman Lowenbach; seconded by Councilman Pumphrey and there being no further business to come beface the Council at this time the meeting adjourned with general consent at 8:00 P.M. / Mayor R'eco der Pro=tem
