Absent Van Heiden and Lindaman. Motion by Nielsen second by James to approve the minutes of the June regular meeting. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Van Hauen to approve the June Treasurer’s Report. All ayes, carried. Motion by James second by Van Hauen to approve the following bills for payment. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Van Hauen to approve the nomination of Greg Riebkes. All ayes, carried. Maureen Meyer’s name will be submitted to the Grundy County Board of Supervisors for approval. At 7:30 p.m. the Mayor declared this was the time and place for the Public Hearing on the proposed exchange of property with the Wellsburg Reformed Church. Being there were no oral or written objections the Mayor declared the Public Hearing closed at 7:35 p.m. Motion by James second by Nielsen to approve Resolution 07-2006-1 a resolution exchanging property with the Wellsburg Reformed Church. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by James to approve Resolution 07-2006-2 a resolution authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute any deeds pertaining to the exchange of property. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Motion by James second by Van Hauen to approve Resolution 07-2006-3 a resolution setting date for public hearing the proposed sale of City property to Meadowbrook Golf Course. Hearing set for August 7, 2006 at 7:15 p.m. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Van Hauen to approve Resolution 07-2006-4 a resolution awarding the bid on housing project 3 to Bierman Construction. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried.
