RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET, COUNTy OF MIDDLESEX,
NEW JERSEY, AUTHORIZING AN EXTENSION OF TIME FOR PAYMENT OF
MUNICIPAL TAXES WITHOUT I~ITEREST TO AUGUST 29, 2003
WHEREAS, The Borough of Carteret was scheduled to mail out
munlcipal tax bills by June 30 2003 to all property owners,
and ' '
HmxEAS, the State of New Jersey's adoption of certain
programs resulted in a delay in the mailing of the tax bills,
and,
WHEREAS, the delay ef the mailing of the municipal tax bills
will result in the imposition ef interest payments if an
extension ef time for the payment ef the bills is net granted
zo uhe uaxpayers ef the Borough of Carteret.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of
uhe Borough ef Carueret, County ef Middlesex, New Jersey, as
~o! lows:
1. ?hat the Mayor and Council hereby authorize the extension
ef zime for payment of the municipal tax bills to August 29
2003. ,
2. In the event that the tax bills are not paid by a
taxpayer en August 29, 2003, then interest shall be
retroactive te the August 1, 2003 due date.
3. That the Borough Clerk shall forward certified copies of
~his resolution to the following:

B. Tax Collector.
Adopted this 4th day of September, 2003
and certified as a true copy of the
original on September 5, 2003.
