f MINUTES CF SPECIAL MEETING O LEESBURG TOWN COUNCIL, AUGUST 22, 1966.

A special meeting of the Leesburg Town Council was held in the Council
Chambers, Leesburg, Virginia, on August 22, 1966 at 6 :00 P.M. Those present
were Mayor Kenneth B. Rollins, Councilmen C. Maloy Fishback, Maurice R. Lowen-
bach, Jr. ,- Walter F. Murray, Robert A. Orr and John W. Pumphrey; also Town Manager
James W. Ritter , Jr. and Town Attorney George M. Martin. Mr. Ritter was appointed
Clerk of the Council Pro-Tem in the absence of the Clerk. .
Mayor Rollins explained the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the con-
tents of a letter from the Loudoun County School Board dated August 22, copy of
which is attached hereto. Mr. Wendell Kline explained the urgency of the *:at- -
ter due to the school opening date the first week of September.
After discussion by the Town Council , it was agreed that the School Board
be allowed to proceed with the laying of water and sewer lines and the construe`
tion of the road, with the understanding that the School Board would be re-
sponsible for handling the storm water at the intersection of Catoctin Circle
and Belmont Drive.
The Town Manager was directed to write a letter to the School Board re the
action taken.
There being no further discussion, the meeting was adjourned with general
